Vitali won his first HW world title in 1999. He waited 4 years before facing the undisputed HW champion. I think he was waiting for Lewis to get old. But that plan backfired, even though lewis was 38 years old, out of shape, unmotivated and took the fight on just 10 days notice he was still able to murder vitali.
Really this just prooves more what kind of pathetic sneaky champion Vitali is. Instead of facing a prime lewis he waited for him to get old.
Really ****ing pathetic
anyone who loves the sport of boxing can not support the k brothers.
They have no boxing skills. Only reason why they are champions is becuase the HW division is full of bums and their height. Valuev has no boxing skills but he managed to become a champ just cause of his size.
David Haye is the only top HW at the moment with great skills and you will see when he faces a klitschko it will be all over for them.
Wlad used to have skills but manny steward totally ruined that
I think you'll find both have excellent skills in a traditional boxing sense. Yes watching a continous jab straight right hand can be boring (especially as it's heavyweights) I love the sport and I'm not a particular fan of either fighter but if YOU love the sport you shouldn't let your blind hatred fuzz your mind!
As for they only dominate cause there size comment, to a certain extent they may not have dominated if not for their size but what the f*ck can they do about that? Chop off there legs?
Thats like moaning pacman wins all the time because of his speed advantages, remember speed is a physical attribute as well so you can't use that against them.
Yes they are not aggressive, yes they have to wear their smaller opponents down, yes they both have flaws but they get the job done. The only reason the heavyweights are considered so bad is mainly because the K-2's have dominated and the Americans don't have anything prospect that has come close to dethroning them. With no American market the money falls out of the heavyweight pot and interest has slowly faded (in the U.S. and to a certain extend the UK until Haye) If you asked the germans they'd say the heavyweight dev has never been better!
You gotta remember aswell that the eastern block fighters have only been on the pro scene a couple of decades too so it's a fantastic achievement for the Ukrainians to have two world champs that dominate. Credit where credit is due my friend.
As for David Haye I'd thought given your self confessed love of boxing that you'd have realised that Haye is a business man not a boxer. Skills wise he is an exciting fighter going forward but defensively he is a disaster waiting to happen and that is entirely down to Booth. Booth is the one I fecking hate, he's a smarmy little c*nt.. You only have to look at Hayes stable mate George Groves last fight to see how good a defensive coach Booth is and that is why Haye is retiring so soon and leaving room for just one Klit fight. If he loses he's made his purse and is out of there. Haye does have the skills to KO both fighters but I also think to his defensive flaws means that he'd really stuggle against either Klit. Look how Haye handled the beast from the east, he ran all night and popped from the outside. He ain't going to get away with that against either of the Klits.......
Don't be blinded by hate!
Before I dismantle your statements with ease would you tell me where you are from? UK? If so, I better save my breath because there's no winnin' with UK boxing fans.
doesnt mather but im not from the UK. I don't support haye because he is black or because he is from the uk. Im not like tunney. Im a boxing fan. and I support all boxers who are skilled.
Used to be a big Wlad fan until he teamed up with manny steward.
Cry some moar.
What exactly have the Klitschkos done to upset you that bad? Virtually all of your postings on these boards are K2-rants, it's untrue.

And can anyone explain why vitali choose danny williams as his first title defense? I gues beating an old tyson is enough for that cherrypicking loser to earn a title shot. Vitali has been cherrypicking opponents and ducking great fighters his entire career.

Klitschko had ten days to prepare for the unified HW champ of the world.
Lennox Lewis had ten days to prepare to fight a guy that lost to Chris Byrd.
There's nothing left to explain.
you keep saying "he lost" in reality he was winning but had to pull ..hardly a loser really....
dude get your facts right, vitali was on the undercard preparing to fight someone, 10 days before it changed to lewis
this klitschko fans don't know anything about boxing. Some of them actually believe vitali took that fight on 10 days notice without having any training camp
No no no. LOL.
Vitali took the fight on 10 days notice. Not Lewis.
Lewis' opponent pulled out with an injury.
:p

it obviously goes both ways. taking on a new opponent with ten days notice IS EQUAL DISADVANTAGE TO BOTH. Both fighters had advantages and disadvantages that made this fight EVEN IMO. Perfectly even as far as attributes, "prime", "in shape", "green", etc. they negated each other out. AND WHAT WENT DOWN IN THE RING IS SIMPLY WHAT IT IS. Vitali was obviously winning, but it is unfortunate that part of boxing is your body's ability to hold up to punishment. so, lennox deserves that win. HOWEVER, I do think Lennox should have gave Vitali the rematch as promised., and definitely as Vitali and the fans deserved. That could have changed the course of heavyweight history had they rematched. *shrugs*, i like the hell outta both fighters and it is what it is. fun to debate about, though :)
vitali beating a 39 year old great champion would change the history of boxing? I doubt it
All i know is lewis took that fight on TEN DAYS notice and still gave vitali an ass whooping
you mean Vitali took this fight with 10 days notice..........
Are you trolling? Ill say it one more time then im outta here. :nono:
Vitali is the one who took the fight on 10 days notice.
Not Lewis. Lennox Lewis had a full training camp, Vitali did not. He stepped in at the last minute.
When you say that someone took a fight on less notice, it means they didnt get a full training camp in. Lewis got a full camp.
I know this wasn't directed at me,
but BOTH had 10 days notice since they were BOTH preparing to fight BEFORE the injury happened.
What a bunch of nonsense. Klitschkos then promoter Universum had to sue Lennox and the WBC in order to get this fight done. Lennox was going to fight Kirk Johnson with the WBC belt *NOT* on the line just in order to avoid Vitali. Then Johnson injured himself and the rest is history.
If it wasn't for Johnson Lennox may have continued to avoid Vitali. Not because Lennox was scared of Vitali, but simply because the risk/reward ratio was quite bad from Lennox' point of view.
End Thread.
Lol, 2Fast, you're an idiot.
Vitali didn't wait for Lennox to get old, he had been trying to get a fight with him for some time but Lennox didn't take it.
A typically stupid thread. How could Vitali cherry pick Lewis when Lennox was the fukin HW Champ of the world?
Also, they both beat the shiit out of each other. It was a great fight.
