This was a debate at work today and i was curious to what some of you guys has to say. Which is more impressive
1) Margarito taking Molseys best shots for 8 rounds to be knocked out due to body shots and being worked over (Not from one punch)
2)Floyd being badly stunned by a monsterous Mosley right hands but adjusting and not getting his with those same shots after round 2.
I will be showing this thread to the 2 guys who argued this tomm so your opinons and input is appriciated.
what a cock sucker you really are yo-lol
straight up cock sucker--
floyd not only took the shots well, he dominated the rest of the fukking round after his leg buckled and looked like the stronger fighter at the end of the round-lol--he started landing at will on shane after that 2nd shot that manny would have most likey fell on his ass from--lol
floyd getting caught by shane is no different from him getting caught by chop and judah--and he reacted the same way--grabbed like he was supposed to--he was hit in his temple man-lol
that **** is no joke--i've been hit there before with a punch i didn't see coming and i survived it and fukked homeboy up, but that **** had the right side of my face numb for a few and my right eye was a little blurry--that **** is no joke--lol
floyd has a strong chin and has amazing adjustment skills--he showed it a few times--and floyd dominated the rest of the fight showing us that those shots weren't as bad as people made them out to be--a fighter who is really hurt wouldn't react the way floyd did the rest of the round--
people said that shane didn't capitalize enough against floyd in round 2, but why do you think that was? floyd blocked his punches, moved a little more, and started eating shane the fukk up punk---everytime floyd has been a little wobbled, he has always dominated the rest of the round and the fight---
ask judah, ask chop chop, ask shane---ask chavez---it's always the same--floyd spars with fukking jr mw and middleweights, and has sparred with light heavy and heavyweights--lol
he spars usually at least 4 minute rounds with those big guys so he is able to withstand hard shots from the smaller dudes in his weight class--shane caught floyd with a punch floyd didn't fully see coming--that 2nd shot--and it's rare that floyd doesn't see every shot--but shane timed it well--
most fighters would have buckled their asses to the canvas and been offset by the shots--floyd got much stronger and it showed--he came out the stronger fighter at the end of the round and shane looked so puzzled as to why floyd didn't fight scared-lol
because that fukker wasn't scared--he stayed poised, relaxed and let shane overwhelm himself by getting too excited about possible knocking floyd down and out--it worked against shane--floyd is always in control, whether offensively or defensively--he uses his opponent's pace against them--i've explained this in the past many times
shane hitting floyd the way he did was bad for shane, not floyd because shane didn't know what to do next--he didn't stay calm enough to time floyd again with them--he should have turned southpaw and threw it again--he wasn't smart enough--floyd is a genius in the ring, and manny will find that out real soon you little beaver faced ****** punk b1tch made ass fukkboy-lol
Green K for this cat.
Who the he'll did that. That was good azz video.
Opal, he breaks down things for Pacquiao fans to the point where they should understand, whether they're 10 years old or 30+.
Nobody really does anymore. I blame part on the fans and part of it on MMA. People today just want to see a puncher VS a punching bag. Nothing technical. Technical is "boring", as a simpleton would say that probably doesn't understand what boxing is even about.
Exactly. It's sad because Mayweather defines what boxing is. I still remember watching Mayweather-Marquez and whatever that UFC ppv event was at a sports bar. They had both ppv's on screen by screen and you see pure elegance on display in boxing and a bar fight in MMA. Not stating all MMA fighters are street fighters, but if it's not Silva or GSP, it doesn't look like a mastered art form or fighting technique.
I can no longer watch boxing with anyone because all I hear is "this fight is boring", "get to the main event", "these guys are terrible, I'd kick their ass", etc.... Manny Pacquiao epitomizes what the majority want, Mayweather epitomizes the sport itself.

fe real.... ima show this to all those "SHANE GASSES" dudes out here...
it werent that he had no energy - it was that he had no answer
no I mean when floyd got hurt, he grabbed his hand and then went back to normal
he didnt adjust mate, floyd fought for the same way for 12 rounds, just got to mosley first and got out of the way of his hits for the fight, if he couldnt get away he tied him up
in the 2nd round he got it a bit wrong
to me it showed how easy the fight was for floyd, seriously he walked the win over mosley, was no way near his best for me, but the reason was because mosley was so poor that floyd didnt have to go to a high level
floyd doesnt have the best at all, honestly think pac would have a field day with him but thats a day for another thread
you a straight up hater man.. Floyd didn't adjust? hell yea he did adjust, he knew when he got hit that he needed to give Shane something to worry about so he became aggressive while at the same time maintaining his defense, he held on to Shane's right hand AFTER he got caught and only for while he was stunned because he then managed to strip Shane of his right hand for the rest of the fight using excellent footwork, an awesome jab and incredible overall strategy, to say that he didn't adjust is imbecile material, he didn't just "got out of the way of his hits for the fight, if he couldnt get away he tied him up", it was one of Floyd's best offensive performances of recent times, he could have boxed away but instead decided to trade and stand there with Shane he just made him look horrible the whole fight..
to answer the question it's obviously better how Floyd took Shane's shots because he skillfully found a way to bring himself to a win, he gave Shane something to worry about he didn't just plod forward and allow himself to be beaten down like that. people look for the wrong things in Boxing, they jump out of their chair when Margarito is getting his ass whooped just because of how good he was able to take a beating but don't jump off their chairs to cheer on someone who took the same bombs, didn't allow himself to receive any more damage and actually found a way to turn the tide and win every other round in the fight, they got the whole dynamic of Boxing wrong
fighters train for conditioning no doubt but mostly they train on technique, they always need to work on technique to be able to present troubles for each individual upcoming fight, explain to me what technique are you showing when you are allowing someone to ruthlessly punch you in the face and you have no offensive answer? absolutely none, if this is a comparison of chins we can't answer that because Floyd has not allowed himself to be hit as much as Margarito has
There is nothing impressive about a guy that is one dimensional with a thicker skull.
Floyd got rocked and adjusted so much he shut Shane out...Thats impressive.Quoted for realizm.
Also nevermind the fact that Mosley brutally stopped Marg.
i dont agree with that statement. i love a guy with a chin. but skills are just as beautiful to watch especially when you appreciate the technical side of boxing.

many valid points already made... consensus is that floyd's display was more impressive coz it took years of skill and practice to perfect.... margo was blessed with a granite chin...
a point that perhaps is overlooked is mental composure... when i watched the fight the whole place (both at the venue and with all my friends) rose to their feet and were literally screaming for Floyds blood... it takes some real mental toughness to not get tilted in such a situation...
also conditioning...Floyd got caught badly, especially the 2nd one (while he was throwing his left hook).... most fighters would have gone down but Floyd showed sum real world class leg conditioning by staying on his feet... only a man who trains like a dog could have kept his legs from buckling
if this question is just about chin then margo wins it everytime
What's more impressive? Winning the fight. Sorry getting hit flush 100 times on the jaw is not something to admire, Margarito has a great chin no doubt though.
:lol1: this^^^^^^^^
its more impressive to STOP getting hit by the punch
Margarito made it a career to be hit like that. Mayweather made it a career to not be hit like that. One of those takes talent where as the other was just born with a solid chin that was cracked that night.
Floyd who doesn't even use his chin has yet to show signs that it could crack even when being hit twice with a known puncher like Mosley.
This also validates why Arum is basically calling Floyd Mayweather the greatest that ever did it because he's justifying Pac fighting Mosley by saying that Mosley is so dangerous because he actually hit Floyd TWICE! Not once, but twice! Who hits Floyd Mayweather twice?
Mosley + 2 Punches + Mayweather = Mosley:HOF/ATG
Mayweather>Mosley>Ali according to Bob!
looking back on what he posted, i have to take back what i posted and apologize for my remarks-lol
he didn't bash floyd at all--kudos to him for seeing the truth--i misread his comment--my bad on that one-lol
i agree with him, the fight was easy for floyd and the pacquiao fight will be even easier--
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkCXgd4Dj2Ifield day that little punk ass said, but that's for another thread right? what the **** is he on? manny is so easy to hit--much much slower fighters have caught him with ease before--so why does he think floyd won't do the exact same thing and more?
he really is clueless to think manny will have a field day with floyd--he'll have a field day all right? but he'll be be on the recieving end of that field day--that's for damn sure-
floyd shuts him down with ease--i'm telling you now--it's an easy fight for floyd--they better bring sergio or somebody from middleweight to fight this kid, coz manny ain't the one to get the job done--lol--
it only took a couple of punches to buckle floyd's ass ......what a cock sucker you really are yo-lol
straight up cock sucker--

You might be correct, although Floyd's defense can make any aging fighting appear shot it was a little evident that Mosley wasn't the same fighting that beat Delahoya. That Shane would have out fought Floyd and would not have froze up and put his stick back in his holster. Floyd deserves his credit he's good at what he does and the extra pounds didn't deminish he speed, skills, or reflexes.
I disagree! Those fights with dlh were nothing more than an amateur contest of bravado. Those dudes were swinging for the fences for 90% of both fights. No one set up many shots. They fought on talent alone. PBF makes u think about every shot u throw and take by staying out of range and anticipating ur next move in order to counter u.
There is a reason outside of money these dudes ducked this kid until they had everything to gain win or lose.
