Is he still prime? I dont think he is. Hes still good but definitely past prime. His last fight with Mosley, he didnt use his feet. If he fights like that vs Pacquiao it'll be over fast. At this point I dont think he can beat Pacquiao...

This is funny, sir. I saw floyd being the agressor in that fight. You can't use lateral movements in attack mode. Forward movements is employed most of the time. The first time I saw him do that after a long while. I think he did a good job in that mode. Fight against pac should be exciting since pac uses lateral movements in attacks, very few employs that tactic efficiently. This fight is going to be very very exciting with two contrasting styles.
My opinion, sir.
That is why Pac/floyd must happen.
hes past it his footspeed isn't what it used to be but its still enough to beat Pacman JMM doesn't have great footspeed and look what Marquez did to Pac
The key word is highest, top, best, prime you fucking illiterate.
Peak = Prime
When someone peaks, they are in their prime. When they are not at their peak, they are not Prime. Get it? I will explain again if you don't understand

Floyd is a defensive fighter, if he relied on speed alone i'd agree with this. But thats not the case! if floyd fought Pac the same way he fought mosley its a wrap for Pac....way too much pressure..
But the fight wont happen cuz OST is still in its prime and making tough P4P fighters scared to face him...
He past his peak prime but he’s still at his prime.
He is past his beginning prime but not at the end of his prime but at his 70.098% prime close to about his prime-prime near like a g6 prime. you know what im saying
what is wrong with you? describing how good floyd looked against hatton or marquez? guy had a huge ****ing advantage
also dont give me this pure boxer garbage, you obviously have no clue about the spot
its a simple enough answer, he isnt in his prime, the man is what 33 now and nearly 34, he is slower and less sharper than before.
also there is no such thing as a pure boxer as there are many different types of styles.
So you are saying he had an easy time with hatton? You point to the advantage he had in size in both fights. If you say this and agree that he is past it, then floyd must really suck. How do you measure how good he is/was based on a size advantage when he obviously looked past his prime. We are talking about how good floyd looked in his fights, not about size advantages. I dont answer in one sentence because i want to state the facts to support my statement. you said to answer a simple question, yet you had to get into the size advantage. Wake up buddy, you just did the same thing. Where in this thread are we talking about size? As far as my knowledge of the sport goes, dont even go there. Ive boxed and fought plenty so leave that bs to someone else. you didnt even start the thread, so there is no point in insulting my answer. You have your opinion and i have mine.
He's shot, lost his legs (flat-footed), and is very inactive... that's why Pac wants to fight him now. He only takes on damaged goods :lol1:
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
Hey hey, you're the one that has a Tranny as an avatar
the other guy is correct, keep dreaming mate, you are living ina fantasy world if you think floyd will ever fight pac. he will only fight against guys he knows he can win for sure against
Is he the best pure boxer in the world? Yes. Is he still prime? H*ll no. IMO, the last time we saw a prime mayweather was against balmdomir (hatton if you want to push it.) Against dlh, he was flatfooted and seemed a bit slower than his normal self (fight was at 154 with 10oz gloves.) Againt hatton, he was forced to fight but looked better than he did against dlh. Against marquez, we saw the vintage mayweather defense back, minus some of the bounce in his legs but still a good flashback. Againt mosley, we saw a different floyd. He was a lot more flatfooted and was actually dictating the pace of the fight. His hands were also high, as opposed to the shoulder roll stance he had up until round 2. People point out that he was so flatfooted due to him getting hurt by the brutal overhand right from mosley, but that was just a different mayweather in there. He no longer has the bounce in his legs like he used to, but lets not forget he isnt 28 anymore.

No, his physical prime was when he was obviously younger
also for the idiots talking about mosley, he was totally shot against floyd, mora and will be against pac. there will be no difference in the mosley either guy fights, both shot. too bad floyd avoided him when mosley was in his prime, would have been an epic fight

Mosley is shot enough not to be fighting any elite fighter at this point of his career. There are deferent levels of prime fighter do not go from being prime to being shoot overnight it takes time and Floyd is certainly not getting any better at this point of his career.
If pacquiao KO's floyd, would that make him a shot fighter?
Oh theres different levels of prime?? Which level of shot is mosley in?
