Manny Pacquiao is doing some of the same things we criticise Floyd For

After Castillo Floyd's competition started to fall, BUT at least he gave Castillo an immediate rematch first. Pac's has been falling since Marquez, and he didn't even give Marquez an immediate rematch. I won't take credit away becuz De La Hoya (before we knew he was dehydrated) and Cotto certainly weren't cherry picks, but Diaz, Clottey, Hatton, Margarito, and now 40 Year Old Mosley... Afterward some top rank guy no one cares about anymore. Probably Kelly Pavlick at a 155 catchweight for a middleweight title... But afterward he'll say "Oh... I can't go up that high anymore... nevermind a Martinez fight..."

Sorry but this is worse... I think its ok for him to face guys like Cotto & Margo (guys Floyd hasn't faced) But to fight his leftovers especially when they look like crap:pat: And at least face the guys Floyd didn't face at a fair game (catchweights & ring gloves) But this is boxing... for some reason people give Pac more credit :wtf1:

i can see that this has turned into another hate thread... Pac doesnt get the same criticism because he dont run his fu.cking mouth like an ignorant wannabe thug, thats all there is to it. Would i like to see him clean out the 147lb division, yeah, i would, and i'd also like him to fight marquez again.. But at least he gives it his all and doesnt fight a defensive slow paced type of fight. People respect that more.....

Manny heard the screams for the past year and half, "Mannys ducking Shane". Hes complying with your guys wishes, and you're still crying. If only he had fought him when he looked dangerous as opposed to when hes looked terrible in his last 2 fights.

When did Pac ever say he fights for legacy? I'll wait for a rock-solid reference, citation or quote. He may comment on his 'legacy' now and then, and there's no doubt he does care about and value it... but he has always said he fights who his promoter puts in the ring with him; and that he fights to entertain the people. I thought he had said legacy too, but i can admit that I could be wrong. Now why didnt u refute the "for the people" part and show that Pac is full of sh*t with that. He fights for money, 1st and foremost and his ego is just as big as floyds. Difference is, FMJ admits it. If not, he wouldn't have been a diva in the DLH, Hatton, Cotto or FMJ negotiations. Judah has always had the talent but could never mentally put it together. Your really gonna try and justify Baldomir? A journeyman who had 9 previous losses when they fought. Your right that was pretty impressive. Mosley was no scrub but he was also not prime. He had been inactive for 1 1/2 years, and had been through 2 training camps at the time after the Berto fight fell through. I'm brought up Judah and Baldomir to show that they posed a greater threat to Mayweather than Bradley or Allexander, names you listed. It's funny that you bash Mayweather for not fighting Baldomir when you had a lot of people giving Mayweather flack for not fighting him. Your complaints with regards to him fighting Mosley aren't worth addressing. The point I am making about Berto,Alexander, or Bradley is how long has it been since he fought a young guy in his prime? Or just a guy in his prime for that matter? List the young prime fighters available to him now. You have to remember that many promoters and trainers wouldn't be willing to throw their young prospect to the lions so to speak. Then there's the fact that young fighters for the most part nowadays are unproven and do not draw enough. There isn't a fighter under the age of 25 who deserves a match with Mayweather and more than likely people would criticise Mayweather for fighting them. I personally would rather see Pacquiao fight Berto first but if he fights Mosley to stay busy in the hopes of waiting on Floyd I'm ok with that. If and when that fight doesn't happen, than he can look to Berot or some of these other guys. The point is I and regardless if you wanna admit it or not know Floyd would never go anywhere near a fight like that. You then go on to say how Mayweather only takes these fighters knowing there is no real risk. The biggest problem with dominating an opponent is people call them bums after the fact forgetting what they said before the fight. The bottom line is Floyd and Pacquiao are a part of the caravan of fighters who fight for themselves and don't give a damn about the fans and what they want. Bob Arum came out and said this on behalf of Pacquiao a while ago just like Floyd said he doesn't care about the fans (although Pacquiao didn't say it personally, but Arum saying it is almost just as bad). So you can't criticize one, and defend the other. The type of fighters that are good for the sport are guys who go out of their way to make the best fights possible like the dudes in the super six that are in there now, the guys in the 118 tourney, Martinez, Williams, Bradley, Alexander, Glen Johnson. These are the kind of fighters that need to be talked about on these forums. And not some catch weight diamond belt king and a wife beating arm pit shaving prison prag.

I thoroughly enjoyed his fight with Cotto ( the first 7 rounds anyway), Marquez, Morales, Barrera, Hatton ( for the short time it lasted), Oscar etc. but his fights with Clottey and Margarito were crap. I don't need to explain why I disliked the Clottey fight, with the Margarito fight I will say that I watch boxing to see a display of boxing skill not an individual getting ruthlessly pummelled for 12 rounds.

Shane can only fight one fight at a time. His last fight was a draw. Margaritos last fight before his beating, was a win against Garcia. You can call Mannys last 3 fights a joke all you want, but the guy is fighting, and making money, and exciting the crowd, instead of hiding. Did he win? Yes or no? Did Shane draw with Sergio? Yes or no? You guys can't just make up s hit without getting called out on it. Larrys statement is completely false no matter how you try to sugar coat it. Only one guy was coming off a loss. His statement was false but the underlying point remains the same, none of those fighters looked like themselves or good in their previous performance. Save for Clottey.
