Overtime round in boxing?

I think 13 rounds pretty much solves the problem.

Instead of overtime why not just add one extra round?

I'd say either make them 11 or 13 round fights. Or better yet, go to a two judge system. Have your panel of 3 judges, with a back up judge behind them that review the round quickly with them in the 60 second break. Or have the commission review each round and if something has been blatantly scored incorrectly, like that 10-10 round, with no justification, it can be changed. I'm willing to let the time in which a fight ends and scores are read to be longer to ensure a fair outcome

15 two minute rounds?

It's only American sports (about 4 or 5) that have overtime. Leave boxing as it is.

It's just not practical. By the time the scores are read out the fighters have already cooled down and congratulated each other and everything.

But just imagine what would happen if a fighter died in that overtime round, proper public outcry.
