Anyone else notice this? American boxing fans love boxers from Latin America, Europe, anywhere. But Europeans and latinos only support their fights.
You hate America so you hate our fighters.
It sucks you countries will never produce an Ali, a Tyson, a marciano, a larry holmes, a frazier, a foreman, a mayweather, a meldrick taylor, a Bhop, a RJJ
youre stuck with weak ass hype jobs like hatton and whatever up coming slav from eastern europe
:usa2:
what a stupid generalisation.
i support and like many british fighters who are good, some were better than others, some didnt quite make it,but they gave entertainment and maximum effort.
ones like fraduley and calzaghe i couldnt fully support as they never faced enough good opposition and didnt try hard enough.
atleast hatton dared to fight the best!.
i dont hate america, its great, sure, like all places there are bad things about it,but its more good than bad.
but also some of my favourite boxers are american.
ive stayed up till 5 in the f*ckin mornin for years now to support bhop, mayweather, roy jones, mosley, malignaggi, marquez ect ect.
how many times has anyone in america stayed up al night till 5 or 6 in the morning to watch live boxing, nevermind doing it every weekend that fights are on?.
and ali, tyson, fraizer, robinson, leonard, all the great boxers who were all american,i appreciate all their styles and all thier great fights,im not envious that there american,im just glad they were alive and were so great.
And for such a small country such as britian,i think weve got a pretty f*ckin good history of accomplished boxers.
theres not too many other countries as small as ours that has achieved so much in the sport.
so go f*ck yourself!.
I really like this post. Man, staying up that late as often as you do is truly impressive! Here in America we have it good since most fights from Europe come on from like 3-7 PM here. Fights from Australia come on at like 4-7 am, but how many major fights are held there right? And I totally understand why any countries or territories, but especially smaller ones, feel the need to support their homegrown fighters. Who wouldn't want great champions from their own country, whom they can relate to and identify with? Even with the decline of boxing in America, I know how proud I am of our rich boxing tradition and hope our prospects proceed to be future champions. Nationalistic pride is cool, but hatred on fighters just because of their place of birth or residence is incredibly stupid.
Link didn't work. I'll stick to the Ring rankings.
Yeah, who would publish such crap :D but anyway, Trinidad is a paper champion, he doesn't belong ahead of Wilfred Benitez or Jose Basora, who is Wilfred Benitez without the championship belts, and age difference.
when you google greatest Puerto Rican boxers this comes out

Well, I try to have a godly list, it is an ATG list :D Ring is on crack, they had Margarito ranked ahead of David Haye, and they almost put Cabellero in their top ten pound for pound.
Nobody is perfect except for you kemosabe.
You haven't *SHOWN* Oscar didn't win a big fight. Molina was a stepping stone nowhere near Oscar's leauge and he knew his only chance was to wrestle to avoid a real fight and create the image of a controversy. Ring had Tito higher than all Ricans. Sabbo boxing? Uh, no:nono:. You're list? Now that's a list that should be above all lists. Greatest of the great is who you are-- a god among men.

We are not little !! Carlos Negron is 6'6 , Fres Oquendo and John Ruiz were Heaveyweight champions, Carlos De Leon 4 or 5 time Cruiserweight champion, and Jose Basora defeated Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake La Motta at middleweight (I think ), also Jose Torres was a great Middleweight-Light Heaveyweight. But thats kool, I hope too, and so with Mexico :D
Sh*t foo! I'm 5'13"! How 'bout dem apples?
Oscar never won a big fight in his lyfe, Molina was a big fight. He even yelled out for Millers Lane in one round yelling out "HELP" LOL Trinidad might be top 7 on my PR great list, and just to show you Sabbo boxing has him ranked down there too, BUT their list is crappy propaganda, while mine is better :D

PR's are good little fighters. Hopefully you guys continue being blessed.

LOL! Molina wrestled the whole fight loco. He'd have won on WWF or patty-cake rules but not *boxing*. That's all Molina could do-- create the image of a controversy cuz he knew he couldn't beat Oscar in a boxing match. As for Oscar being a homo-- you're going to have 2 get with him about that if you're obssessed with gayness. Besides, if he's gay that would make it worse for Rican's that a little as* gay 130 lb Mexican beat PR's greatest in his 4th division. LOL! Shane robbed himself when he cheated. Period. Quartey was a close fight though-- but it showed Oscar's talent to do same vs a guy so much bigger-- unlike Tito who got his as* whupped by every decent fighter he faced at higher weights.

Please, Oscar De La Hoya robbed Molina, Quarty, Sturm, and Parnell Whitaker. You only want to rob Shane Mosley of both his victories too lol so you say Oscar De La Homo should be undefeated? LOL Oscar didn't look smaller than Trinidad, maybe by a nose hair but their were pretty much equal in size.

Oscar moved up 5 divisions and I'm trying to spin it? How the f*ck am I going to spin that when it says alot of Oscar to fight a much bigger Tito and Quartey while Tito was busy beating little guys 3 or 4 divisions smaller while ignoring Norris only 1 division bigger? And Oscar outlanded Tito in the power punch category. Tito bested Oscar in missed punches and pouty faces:frown:. Tito's overrated and overhyped as* should've killed Oscar's as* being he was so much bigger. Mosely was a known roids user and lotsa of folks(i.e. not Ricans) had him winning the 2nd fight. Quartey? I've heard alot of people say Oscar lost to Whitaker but Quartey? Nope.

LOL TRinidad was one Dimensional, Oscar if he would have won, it would of been because he used a jab only LOL Oscar De La Homo, lost to Qaurtly, John John Molina, sturm, Parnell Whitaker and to Mosley twice LOL

What a load of rubbish.
I am from the UK and have no hatred towards America whatsoever.
Many of my favourite fighters are from America. We have produced some talent of our own during the years and we will support them through thick and thin.
If Mayweather fought in the UK, do you think you would have thousands and thousands flying over to support him and sing his name no matter what?? You wouldn't.
We are a vocal country, and with Hatton in particular, take a football type crowd to boxing matches. If being vocal supporting our fighters upsets you then tough titties..
I definitely understand what you're saying, but I feel the term "American" is sometimes subjective.
Using your example for instance; if Americans were to fly across the pond to support Mayweather if he were to fight in the UK, what would you define as Americans?
There's so many different ethnicities in America that I sometimes don't know what people refer to when using the term 'American'.
Oscar beat Tito(Oscar being in his 4th division), Quartey(4th division), Vargas( 5th division) and Chavez in big fights and lost to Shane who was a known roids user--and Tito's best wins were against a bunch of much smaller fighters and he ducked Terry Norris. Tito's best wins were against little as* jr lightweights like Camacho and Oscar DLH(not really:nono:), lightweights like an old Pernell Whitaker and Pendleton and a jr welter in Mayorga. Tito couldn't even beat a shot Roy Jones who had lost most of his previous few fights and who lost his next few fights after Tito.

those white people gave De La Hoya a promotion company and statue for fighting Trinidad left overs and never winning a big fight in his lyfe.
