It will go down as one of the biggest blown opportunities in boxing history. A potential 50 million dollar payday, and perhaps another 50 for a rematch. Well, we can all basically kiss the big fight goodbye as Floyd continues to rack up the arrests.
At one point he was on top of the boxing world, but when he retired from the sport he lost his pound for pound title and he's been unable, or unwilling to make an effort to recapture it.
Pacquiao stormed onto the scene and not only took Floyd's pound for pound king title, but he also snatched the sport of boxing and it's fans and has never looked back.
Floyd Mayweather Jr for whatever reasons has turned his back on the sport and has refused to deliver to the fans the fight that they most want to see.
He's not only turned his back on the sport that has given him everything, but now he is in jeopardy of losing his fan-base and the respect that he once had.
The economy in America has put the fans in cranky mood, and they don't want to see a guy in Floyd waving his money around, and showing off his wealth. Nobody cares about that, they just want to see the him get into the ring and fight.
Manny Pacquiao continues to fight and he continues to win. He has moved forward and is no longer in any mood to wait on Floyd Mayweather Jr.
It's quite clear that the choices that Floyd has made thus far have all proved costly. If he would have just signed a contract by now he would have deposited the fifty million, and perhaps with a victory he would have recaptured his pound for pound king title. Even if he would have lost to Pacquiao, he would have at least earned some respect from the fans.
The fans would have respected him a lot more if he would have stepped up to the plate. As things are now, he's basically ducked Pacquiao and his reputation has taken a serious hit. Mix in the arrests and pending prison time, and his legacy has taken a severe hit as well.
Mississippians that I have talked to over the past year or so are all pretty much disgusted with Mayweather. Even his fans are disappointed with his recent behaviors. His fans just like Pacquiao fans all hope that one day he will step up and fight.
I spoke to a Mayweather fan at the November StrikeForce card. Her name is Janet Johnson, and she admitted to this writer that her respect for Floyd has diminished, “It's harder and harder to support little Floyd these days. I mean he keeps on getting in trouble, and ain't nobody caring about his money and cars. He likes to flash that in our faces, but personally, I ain't impressed.” Janet went on to say, “Honestly Floyd, you wanna impress me? Go to church and start humbling yourself.”
Floyd Mayweather perhaps will look back on this time in his life and he will regret some of the decisions that he's made. He's a great fighter and one of the only fighters alive that has a chance at beating Manny Pacquiao. He will never know now though because he's spent the last year being arrested, and dodging the big fight. History doesn't forget.

You forget the fact that is all Floyds fault why we we are not going to see that fight happening. And hey, it looks like you forget that Pacquiao's resume at 147 is far better than Floyds resume at that weight class.
pacs resume at 147 isnt better than floyds because of all the catchweight fights.
if floyd gets no credit for beating pacquiao's kryptonite in an easy fashion, then pacquiao gets no credit for beating cotto at 145 for his welterweight title.
also pac deserves no credit for beating oscar who looked like a zombie from resident evil 1, not 5.
and no, its not floyds fault why the fight didnt happen, its arums & team pacs fault.
arum protects pac, and pac is ok with it, thats why the fight didnt/wont happen.
pac is collecting paper titles since the second marquez fight.
Why is Floyd nowhere to be found when Someone is Dominating?
nobody is dominating @147 currently.
pac didnt face one fighter in his prime at 147, let alone facing an atg in his prime like fmj.
I'm not gonna ready all of that junk but we all agree on that duckqiao is gonna be fighting floyds 3rd left over we can also all agree on that duck is ducking jmm and martinez and of course floyd because he knows all he needs is to agree to the OST and vola we would have the fight lol
why would you people now blame floyd for duckqiao fighting old shot shane? lol
enjoy the fight

his personal life choices are clearly stupid. that said im a fan of boxing im intelligent enough to know that idolizing a sports phenom is ignorant. they are are human just like us and often make greater mistakes than we do in our own lives. Cheating on their wives, cheating taxes, assault, etc. that said pac never took the p4p title from floyd he took whil floyd was out, like fighting for a vacant belt. floyds victory over the former #1 welterweight champ mosley was better than pacs over clottey and resto. because everybody knows clottey chokes on the championship level and margarito wasnt the same after being exposed by mosley. anyways the real p4p champ right now is sergio martinez. hes fighting the toughest competition possible and winning the most impressively.
Floyd came back and Pac still the #1 P4P and was declared Fighter of the decade.. Floyd not deserving of the #2 spot. That's an insult to the #1 since its not even close. You don't get that spot fighting 2 times in the last 3 years
Champ Mosley? Was he inactive for 1 year and 6 months?

Showing off and waving money to the face of his fans is really a disturbing behaviour. For his intelligible fans, they find it great to show the fruit of PBF hardwork but for the casual fans they will find it annoying since Americans is experiencing hardship these days.
