Pascal looked decent against Chad Dawson in their first meeting and then got taken to school in a match up with 45/46 year old Bernard Hopkins.
If you think Dawson was on his game... fine. If you think Hopkins is still prime... sure.
But honestly, after seeing that performance last night, how many of you feel that Dawson wins the rematch?
Who do you think wins the fight?
Chad Dawson, perhaps with Ortiz...two fighters who's physical ability is bothered most by what's going on inside the head.
During the first fight, you must've been horribly frustrated as a Dawson fan, cos the guy had Pascal ready to go many times, he just needed to persist. Once Dawson started opening up and throwing combo's, you could see just how much better he was than Pascal. But somehow he didn't knock him the **** out, even when Pascal was completely stunned.
Dawson needs some killer instict, I hope he's got some fury built up from that first fight. Time to stop messing around and use his abilities.
Dawson by decision or late stoppage. He tried using the blueprint he used in fighting Tarver and Johnson but didn't work against a young lion in Pascal. In the later rounds against Pascal he began to turn it on, if it wasn't for the accidental headbutt he might have won. I thought Pascal deserved the victory but if they fought again Dawson would use his superior reach, boxing skill and athleticism to defeat Pascal in Canada or wherever they fought.
Pretty sure they would have to fight Pascal in Canada on HBO because that his where the money is at.
I think Dawson will make the right adjustments to be victorious. Hopkins shows the blueprint to beat Pascal
I agree.
Dawson will learn from his mistakes from their first bout
Dawson wins. Bernard should retire. Great performance by him though. He won the fight but do you guys think that Bernard would have went down from those punches that caused the knockdowns 5 years ago? I think Dawson would beat Pascal and judging by what Gary Shaw said, the fight might be in Canada again. dawson might have to knock pascal out to get the victory if that's the case.
