5 MILLION points to the coolest cat in the litter who guesses the result of
*The Light-Heavyweight Championship of the World* Bernard Hopkins Vs Jean Pascal.
Rules
*If your prediction is a decision verdict, you must post all 3 judges' scorecards.
*If your prediction is a TKO or KO, you must post the round.
*If your prediction is a corner retirement, I will take the round that was last fought as the retirement round.
*If more than one person picks the right result, the points will be divided.
Best of luck.
Last predictions will be taken 30mins before fight start time.
If nobody guesses the right result, I will pick the closest.
One prediction per cool cat.
I still don't see how it's 114-114, I understood 113-113 draw but 114-114.
I have a feeling that those cards are going to be reviewed and changed with someone winning the decision.
Remember the Draw Barrera had against Juarez on HBO, and they came back a few hours later and changed it to a split decision win for Barrera?
Could happen. Hopkins needs to fight this thing and try every trick in the book.
Yeah well there is a bit of rumoured controversy coming up now isn't there. Gonna' be interesting. Good point about Barrera-Juarez yeah. You don't often see a card changed post-fight, but it can happen.
Damn.
My heart dropped when I heard that last scorecard announced 114....................wait for it.......................114.
I thought it was going to be 114-113 again like the first.
Yeah thought so too man. Must have been a real downer for you.
Bernard Hopkins KO 7th round around 1minute 18 secs
aww crap too late lol
Noticed: Fk I was 30 seconds late, hopefully I am not right at all haha or I would totally regret it.
As I said in the other points giveaway thread, I'd gladly not win this if this was the result.
Wishful thinking, Hopkins either Tito's him or Tarverizes him with a Post-Pavlik staredown at the press row.
Bring on the fight!!
I'm usually pretty good at this when it comes to B-Hop, I predicted the Calzaghe fight to a tea, other than the official verdict.
What will happen outside of whether flash knockdowns occur, or a surprise knockout (which I don't think will happen) happens, is something along the lines of the Hopkins-Winky fight. Not one of B-Hop's most dominant fights but not the ugliest either.
It will be competitive, Hopkins will dictate the pace pawing with his jab while on the move, sticking Pascal with the occasional right, coming in with his head and initiating the clinch to prevent Pascal from unleashing fast Combos. This will continue rinse and repeat for most rounds with Pascal having some success here and there, throwing the occasional shoe-shine flurry to try and rile up his base of fans to steal the rounds. Between rounds 9 to 12, things will get a bit uglier as B-Hop might possibly lose steam and will start holding more often, this will be Pascal's winning rounds.
At the end, nobody is gonna know for certain who won while waiting for the official decision. It will be a could- go- either- way type scenerio, and hopefully from my perspective:
Hopkins by Split Decision 115-113 hopkins, 116-112 Pascal, 115-113 Hopkins.
Aftermath on NSB: Posters will start creating a gazillion threads talking about how Pascal got robbed. "BOOO, the judges suck" and I will be laughing my butt off. War B-Hop.
:lol1: Nice post. Nobody can say you left out any detail! I'll be watching for this.
