Yeah man the fact that they get a count after a KD is more appealing to me.
i'll admit, a sick part of me enjoys watching a concussed man rising from the grave to get concussed again, but I fear for their brains in the long run
1. If you find two men on the floor grappling and trying to beat the crap out of each other gay then you yourself are a closet homosexual. I am confortable being a straight man so I have no reason to be insecure about two men grappling. Obviously some of you have some issues with your sexuality if you find wrestling gay.
No matter how secure you are with your sexuality, watching them wrestle on the floor for lets say 3 minutes is annoying. I can understand the guys that are actually fighting but, come on! watching two guys rolling around like beach lovers is not entertaining.
3. The real reason MMA is so popular is that safety first fighters often find themselves without a job no matter how good their record might be. While good TV fighters seem to always have a job even if they have a average record. What Im trying to say is MMA is basically what boxing was in the 1950's. A great tv sport that will entertain almost anyone.
The safety first fighters? Dude, Jon Fitch, Rashad Evans, GSP, basically most of the wrestlers are boring as hell because they fight to win. Not fight to finish. Edgar already beat Penn and he's boring as hell. Rashad will most likely beat Shogun. Vitor will most likely beat Anderson, if not him then Chael will. 75% of the wrestlers are bad for the sport. Soon once the sport is crowded with wrestlers, it'll die. Not only that, but it's at a point where there is almost 2 UFC PPVs a month. People will get sick of it eventually.
Take this for example. UFC 125, Resolution. The main event is two guys that in the last 5 fights one of them has gone 4/5 to decision and the other is 5/5 for decisions. Is that suppose to be good for TV? I hate the UFC, people fight for the paycheck and their job. Unlike Strikeforce where they fight to entertain because they know if they fight there hearts out they won't be cut after 2 losses.

2. MMA is not a sport for whitboys only. The HW champion of the world in the UFC is Mexican American. There are 36 Brazilian born fighters in the UFC who are not white. The LHW and Middleweight champions are brazilian and are both very popular. Some of the most recognized fighters in the UFC are black (Rampage,Rashad Evens, John bones jones) and there are also tons of very good Mexican American fighters and all 2 of the champions in all the weight classes are white.

The "hugging and rolling around on the floor like a ***" part may be boring but it also takes skill. One wrong move and your opponent has the dominant position where they can rain down powerful strikes or put you in a submission.
it's aimed for whiteboys who majored in wrestling and can't box for their life
This. 90% of it's fan base is white. Which is why people hated it when a Mexican became a UFC Champion.
It's just a fad. I'm a fan of MMA and K-1, NOT the UFC. AKA The UWC. The Ultimate Wrestling Championship. I hate those fags who take people down and just hold them there for 5 minutes. Which is basically 50% of all UFC match ups.
Shows like Dream, Strikeforce, Pride, and K-1(Dynamite is gonna be insane) those kind of shows are entertaining. I paid 55$ for UFC 124 and the main event was a amateur jab fest at best and people were AMAZED because the guy showed amateur striking at best and in the UWC you're so used to sloppy striking, that when you see amateur boxing you call that guy the greatest of all time. It's a joke.
However, it'll end soon. Too many Pay Per Views.
Also, that matrix kick was from the WEC last night, Antony is the new champion. Now the WEC is joining the UFC. I guarantee you, you won't see that in the UFC. WEC was amazing.
well thats all good....but **** like this is why im lovin mma..straight up matrix

I would say it is more Jackie Chan in The Drunken Master, but nevertheless, that was pretty cool lol.

*sees the matrix kick
nvm, mma is amazing, i will never ever seen anything like that in boxing
Why MMA is getting so popular? I dont get it it, those fights are boring when the fighters are not slugging punches and the crowd starts to booo until they get on their feet and trade blows, isnt that the only way MMA fights can be good? Just watch boxing and watch blows anywhere in the ring!
A champion "fighter" should at least know how to throw blows. Brock Lesnar, if not allowed to wrestle, cant fight for ****.
I kind of think MMA is so popular because racism. This biggest parties on my block are for UFC. And its all rowdy drunk ass whiteboys. And if they're such "fight fans" how come none of them know about boxing? Try asking them about Terry Norris Or Julian Jackson. Some real fighters. They would rather praise some amateur whiteboys. Boxing to the UFC crowd is a minority sport. And once 'minorities' own MMA they will jump to another sport.
Cain is not hispanic, that fool is about as hispanic as any ex-jarhead latino hating cop you've ever met.
