I think Pacquiao made it easy for them to pick a fighter of the decade. If he wasn't around, they would really have to think about it... Or at least I would?
Who do u guys think? De La Hoya, he may not have won his big fights, but he made them all big fights. Floyd, certainly accomplished a lot when u condense his fights throughout the decade, as oppose to per year. Mosley, if not for Wright and Forrest, he probably would have been the one to win it.
Anyway, who do u guys think. Morales, Barrera, Jones, Hopkins... Anyone from this decade that made noise second to Pacquiao's
Honestly I don't see how Pac beat out DLH, Hopkins, Floyd, Roy Jones. I mean these guys fought real champs and beat them at the primes. Pac only been relevant since the later part of the decade.
Most likely floyd.
But i wonder what would have happened if Pac never existed? Remember that Pac put a number of fighters to retirement such as Ledabwa, dela hoya and hatton. We'll never know how that would have affected boxing as a whole.
Without Pacquiao, De La Hoya wouldn't have dropped down to 147 and weakened himself, and would have possibly fought Cotto or Margarito at 154. Hatton would have been in the mix at 140 which would have made it that much more exciting and fun.
Most likely floyd.

Well you can't dismiss Floyd, as I'm guessing he was second place for FOTD. But in my opinion, Joe Calzaghe deserves some recognition than he currently gets. I know that won't go down with you American lads and ladies, but I'm a big fan ;)
Maybe not in my book (I prefer Hopkins) but Roy Jones is more of the Ring Magazine FOTD posterboy than Bernard.
Hmm?
Yeah, I say Hopkins. Hopkins is one of the few true greats coming out of this era
