Who is/was the best at getting in peoples head at a press conference? Floyd, Hopkins, Ali, Tyson, Barrera, Bowe, Vargas, Mayorga? Feel free to add anyone you want.
Ali was the grandmaster of psychological games. Everyone after him is an imitator. Tyson's opponents were more terrified of his power and aggressiveness than his words. Hopkins is also a master. Mayorga is a clown who nobody takes seriously.
Gotta be Muhammad Ali. He was borderline terrorist. He had Sonny Liston afraid of him, I am convinced of that. Ali would go to his gym and harass him while he was trying to train, and he did the same to Frazier. Ali was a sideshow before a fight and there is no doubt he was the most effective pre fight mind-menace.
Ali takes it for me,articulate and smooth with his trash talk
tyson often sounded silly with his threats (although i wouldnt have said that too his face)
Good too see Mayorga getting a mention,he was like a jumping jelly bean at the presser
Tyson would also destroy Ali at a press conference.
He would interrupt Ali every chance he gets to speak and just bring it to his level.
He would probably call Ali a fagg0t for rhyming poems and Ali would probably crack up because he is easy to clown.
An ali/tyson conference would be brutal. Ali would try to hug him when things got heated and tyson would not have it and throw a nasty uppercut while in the pocket. Pure fireworks.
That line from Tyson in which he says, "Your not man enough to fvkk with me. You couldn't last two minutes in my world b1tch", is one of the greatest quotes I have ever heard.
