It should be Sergio....The problem with PAC is he raised the bar too high for himself. Somehow, beating 2 fighters who outweigh him by at least 15 lbs (not sure but I believe Clottey may have been 165+ at fight night) is no longer considered spectacular for him.
People have been spoiled with what he has done before and getting an 8th division title (something that has never been done) while beating a much larger man and shattering his facial bones is considered ordinary or an expected occurrence for Packy.
^^^ you are trying to create some sh it... when there is no sh|t..... relax:rolleyes:
I posted the wbc top 3... I said.. that pacquiao should be a candidate/runner up and he will be... time will tell.. and he will be a candidate...
and once again... stop trying to create some issue, Im not defending or have any agenda with pacquiao being the top 3 or anything..... but what I can see.. is that you are really concern about anything that had to do with pacquiao... i have notice that you get kind of stressed when hes mention on any topic when hes getting praised...
Man mellow don't mind that dude. If you feel he should be mentioned, that's your opinion.
FWIW I think it's Martinez by a wide margin
My rankings
1. Sergio Martinez
2. Jean Pascal *will wait till his fight with Hopkins to see if it's enough to pass Martinez*
3. Fernando Montiel
4. Juan Manuel Lopez
5. Giovanni Segura
6. Juan Manuel Marquez/ Manny Pacquiao
8. Amir Khan
Montiel and Segura deserve to be there more than Pac and Montiel is close to Sergio for FOTY.
You nationalistic nuthugger....lol J/K
What's up Rab?
Damn bro, I haven't seen you on the boards in a minute.
Yes I have, im not inventing anything. but im not going to turn this into if you or me have an agenda with anyone.
I stated that segura & juanma doesnt deserve to be ahead of him. and I stand to that, thats my opinion and im granted to have one. what u did said were that I was mentioning or defending pacmans case as the #3 which was not the case. I just throw those names which where the ones the wbc mention as candidates...nothing more nothing less... and not nothing else...
thats why I told you since the beginning lets agree to disagree but you kept insinuating that I was defending pac as # 3.... once again... dont try to create no sh|t where theres no sh|t..
:boxing:
Take your own advice. And yeah, it's BS.
You haven't noticed that because that's BS. If we're not talking testing or recent opponents, I have nothing but high praise. So don't invent stuff, thanks. Further, you are the person who mentioned that - specifically - Segura and Juanma - didn't deserve to be over him. Notice how everyone else disagrees? That's why I made that comment. Anything else?

It seems the majority of everyone else can agree on who #3 should NOT be, except for you :lol1;

1-martinez
2-montiel
seems like at least we can all agree that these should be the top 2 then..

Pac shouldnt even be a choice lol...none of his opponents were even rated or worthy enough to be considered a threat. The list should be:
1)marquez
2)sergio
How so??????
Simple question,
who should be named 2010 Boxer of the Year?
1- Manny Pacquiao
2- Sergio Martinez
3- Jean Pascal

This is a re-post cuz I had the same debate weeks ago.
Segrio Martinez- Neither Clottey nor Margarito were better than Pavlik or P-Will.
Jean Pascal- If Pascal win neither one of them would be better than Dawson or Hopkins.
Giovanni Segura- Neither one of them were as skilled as Calderon, and Segura stopped him. Segura also beat a sold fighter in Vargas in short weeks notice and stopped him which makes it more impressive. Segura went 4-0 this year with 4 KO's and one of them against F'ing Calderon man.
Fernando Montiel- Neither one of them were ranked higher than Hasegawa, And, now that Hasegawa is competing at FW just shows you how much bigger he was than Montiel who started at flyweight. Montiel has gone 3-0 with 3KO's this year and one of them against F'ing Hasegawa and has another fight this Friday.
Juan Manuel Lopez- went 3-0 against top 10 in his division this year. And, KO'd all 3 top 10 featherweights. Pac can't touch that this year
Montiel won his fight last Friday that made him go 4-0 with 4 KO's in the year including one over a P4P player in Hasegawa in Japan to unify the titles.
All these guys have a better case than Pac for FOTY. I would even say Floyd lone win over Mosley this year was better than any win Pac has this year. JMM win over Katsidis is better than any win that Pac has this year.
