What makes someone a real boxing fan?
Is it attending live events?
Ordering PPVs?
Studying the intricacies and details of the sport?
Preferring a specific style?
Watchings 10 fights a day?
Enjoying tactical bouts over slugfests?
Knowing the dialogue to Rocky by heart?
What exactly makes one a real boxing fan?
that's true.
too bad i didn't have very much motivation and never amounted to sh1t.
bwahahahahah!!!!
that's why i'm a real boxing fan. these athletes are something special.
Yeah there are the chosen ones, each and every one of us is destined to be what we are today. Sadly I may say we are could reach our potential long before.
"If they can do it, so can I" right? haha. Theres nothing more of a motivation than seeing your body double doing the impossible :lol1:

i was always a casual fan in the 80s.
but didn't become a hardcore fan until the 90s when i saw Butterbean and David Tua without their shirts on.
i admire guys with physiques like mine, but are also pro athletes. it's easy to live vicariously through them, since i fight like a retarded 12 year old girl with one arm.

You telling me you didnt fall inlove because of shirtless men in the ring? bull****!

Exactly same here
I began watching Trinidad causally because my brother was an amateur boxign and that was his favorite fighter
Then i went to websites to look up boxing and slowly fell in love with it

the only ones whose fanhood i would question are those that hate without having facts and those that can't give credit when its due...people see me and know i dont like Floyd but i can't sit there and flat out lie and tell you the guy sucks...
take that dumbsh1t Footwork777...he rambled on about PAC avoiding sooOOoooOOo many slick African American fighters and when i asked him to name them all, he came up with one...i ended up having to HELP that c0cksucker compose a list of slick AA boxers
or MIC, that assclown talked about 'pure boxers' ruling the p4p rankings like it was a fact but then sat there and listed Tyson as one of those 'pure boxers'...fool didnt even know who Ivan Calderon was when he was brought up...asked him about Finito, nope...nothing either
they 'might' be fans but too much pretending clouds that judgement...that just makes them posers
man, those idiots give floyd fans a bad name.
i'm a huge fan of floyd and pac for different reasons.
you may not like floyd, but even you know he doesn't suck. nothing wrong with not liking certain fighters, but we as fans have to give credit where it's due.
that's why it bugs me when other people crap all over pacquiao and say that he sucks, considering all he's accomplished.
i'm really curious to see who will still be posting on this site after pac and floyd retire.
well from my experience i grew up watching de la hoya fights and trinidad..but never really followed the sport. in 2006 i saw joan guzman make his first defense of his belt in the dominican republic of a crowd of 20 + k and i felt inspired.. at first i came to this site looking for more info about guzman but while i was at it i started reading about other fighters and got on youtube and i really got into them.. around that time mayweather de la hoya was talked about obviously i went for de la hoya not really understanding the sport yet or knew who mayweather was.. after 2006 i say i became a real boxing fan. especially after getting hbo etc

you must admit seeing their posts make you think is all the flomos IQ is the same :lol1: as you can see many people are backing up their posts :haha:

Larryx: I dont watch a single boxer but the whole sports.
Larryx: Im a real boxing fan because im a expert in boxing styles
Larryx: Why you pactards mentioning Floyd hes in vacation :lol1:
how do you think that clown got to know about the threats at 135, 140 and the potential matchups at 147? if you ask that fool to talk about JWW withOUT talking about Khan, you would think that *gasp* he was a boxing fan...its ok to get into the sport because of one fighter...i'd bet that 95% of all hardcore fans BECAME fans because of a single boxer and then expanded their interest to other boxers
pretty much.
everyone has their favorites. but there are certain posters here whose sole purpose is to bash or nuthug a certain fighter.
anyone who calls pac a roided up catchweight fraud is not a real fan.
anyone who calls floyd an overrated p*ssy is not a real fan either.
a real boxing fan is someone who watches the sport and respects the athletes who partake in it.
it's okay to not like a fighter and criticize them.
but to use names like p*ssy and homo to describe a man who fights for a living is the real p*ssy. and having a boxingscene account just to nuthug one fighter and bash one other fighter is not a fan. just a groupie living in the closet.
there are exceptions and some guys really are b1tches, like malignaggi and dirrell.
cintron too, even though i'm a big cintron fan and he would beat me to a pulp. but i think i could take dirrell and paulie. bwahahahaha!!!
but 99.99% of fighters don't deserve to be called names like that. it's not right. :nonono:
Being a real boxing fan is just enjoying the sport for what it is while being somewhat unbiased when it comes to the fighters you like.
Being a fan of only 1 fighter and making threads about him or one of his rivals on this forum doesn't make you a boxing fan, it makes you a fcking groupie.
That's right you Pactards, Khantards, and Flomos are groupies!!
:haha:

I love a brawl. Admire a pure boxer. I order most PPV. Only been to one "decent" event. Berto-Quintana. I watch , any card. ex:Fox Sports , Telemundo , Box Azteca , Boxeo Tecate. Showtime , HBO. espn classics , etc etc etc. MMMMM , what else. Love watching Mexican fighers. Hate hearing mexican fans. Just kidding , lol. Always rep P.R and root for ricans over anybody(its a duty and an obligation)
Am I fan enough for yall?
A real boxing fan has a passion for the sport whether it be on PPV, in person, in discussion or in the ring itself. A real boxing fan can watch fighters of any caliber and understand and enjoy it. A real boxing fan tries to understand the science. A real boxing fan does not get bored by technical fights.
A real boxing fan appreciates the sport as a whole, pro, olympics, amateurs,
and other enthusiasts.
A real boxing fan is NOT a Pactard or Flomo.
No real boxing fan worships the ground one particular fighter walks on.
A real boxing fan accepts a fighters faults as quickly as he dishes out praises for the same fighter.
