Seriously Oscar in his prime at 147 in his 20's man he was a beast. Manny wouldnt be able to deal with all his combonations the best combonation puncher of this generation.

Another "would haves" ..........
floyd wouldnt have fought a prime oscar anyways. compare a prime oscar the one who fought tito compared to the one who fought mayweather. BIG DIFFERENT
could have.. would have.. should have.. If's and but's..
jeez!
A prime Malignaggi would have beaten a prime Tito Trinidad. True story! :lew:
LOL , my point exactly, these are gayish threads mostly posted by Angry, disturbed PAC haters.. :gay:
The difference between Oscar and Manny is Manny wins all of his most important matches and Oscar loses his.
Oscar is greater at WW. But he can't sniff Manny's fart in terms of P4P greatness.
Not quite bro. The real difference is that Oscar was willing to fight anyone, regardless of style or recent form. Pacquiao picks opponents who are on the slide.
im just saying. people say pacquiao is top 5 all time is ridiculous!
hoya woulda beat him and he was no where near top 10
Wladimir Klitschko would destroy Sugar Ray Leonard so Sugar Ray Leonard sucks :crackhead In fact everyone who isn't a HW sucks, right?
And no, DLH would not beat Pacquiao, the fight happened and DLH got whooped.
Kirby;9792051']Did Pacquiao fight Sergio Martinez at 158 like Oscar fought Bernard at 158?
Kindly remind me at what weight did both start their careers.
Consider their opponents before you try to take it that far. If Oscar had Manny's resume he would have retired undefeated
I doubt very much DLH could have Manny's resume, how would he cut weight to fight at FW? Since according to you he was weight drained against Pacquiao at WW, at FW he would be a corpse :lol1:
Your fantasy fights don't mean anything, Pacquiao wins in REAL fights.
damn, this pathetic ass attention whore is back trolling & spamming again.
please go kill yourself lakas.
asap.
oh u mad? mad becoz u know pac aint the greatest of all time?
bum hurt?
A prime Ali would of beaten Holmes, a prime Louis would of beaten Marciano, a prime Chavez would of beaten delajoha........whats your point????? Your hero unlike the above mentioned fighters, lost to much smaller opponants, and the fights weren't even close!!!!
im just saying. people say pacquiao is top 5 all time is ridiculous!
hoya woulda beat him and he was no where near top 10

Could'a, should'a, would'a.
A decent writer can make it look like Pac couldn't beat hello kitty if his life depended on it.
You are of course entitled to your opinion, but this thread is more appropriate in the fantasy fights section.
Besides. We still aren't sure if Pac has reached his Prime yet, so there really isn't a proper gauge to predict how they'd fare against each other at their primes. And we haven't even decided what weight they're fighting at.
Yes!!
a million times yes DLH would own Pac in his younger days.
Pac beat him fair and square when he did, but DLH was old even when he fought Bumweather.
The only reason DLH was favorite was (cause its DLH duh) and cause there are more Pac haters and more true boxing fans in boxing than Pac nuthuggers. Pactards surfaced later on with more strength.
I have never looked into it. Which fights did Oscar have at catchweight. I think Hopkins was. What were the others?
I think Manny has such a bad reputation with catchweights because the catchweights he demands are so major that they greatly effect the outcome of the fight.
Greatly affect the outcome of the fights?
If my memory serves, I believe Pacquiao has only been in 2 catch weight fights. And neither were as detrimental to his opponents as you're claiming them to be. Let's take a look shall we.
Miguel Cotto - 145; Cotto in his last fight came in at 146 against Clottey. So how exactly was making cotto come in 1 pound lighter than what he came in his last fight "greatly affecting" the outcome of his fight with Pacquiao? If the catch weight was 142 or 143, then I'd agree with you. However since it wasn't I'd have to disagree with it "greatly affecting" the outcome of the fight.
Margaritto - 150; Margaritto has fought the majority of his career at 147. So in essence he's a career 147 pounder, albeit a big welterweight. If anything letting him fight at 150 is actually an advantage to him, rather than a deterrence. I believe the only reason why his last fight before Pacquiao was even at 154 was because he was inactive for so long. So again, the notion that the catch weight "greatly affected" the outcome of the fight is farce.
Even fights that don't happen, the catchweights he asks are ridiculous. He wanted Shane to make 143.
Whoa, can I get a link to where Pacquiao himself stated that he specifically wanted Mosley at 143. From what I remember, the idea of him fighting mosley wasn't even entertained at the time since Cotto was pretty much lined up as his next opponent.
To call him the catchweight king may not be fair, but you cannot deny that he has a good few names on his resume of guys who were out of their element from having to make really low weights. Morales coming in at 130, Oscar at 147, Margarito at 150, etc...
He is the "weight drain" king if anything.
Morales at 130? You have got to be kidding me. How was fighting Erik at 130 draining him? I didn't know that Erik fought at 135 or 140. I saw no issues in their 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd fight that Morales had trouble with the weight. In the second fight he was doing well, until he was broken down late. In the third fight, where he had 10 full months in between fights, he came in at 129. Why would a guy struggling to make 130 come in at 129? Does it make sense to you?
Oscar at 147? Oscar wanted the fight at 147. I love how people spin this Oscar matter as if Oscar was the one at a disadvantage in the situation when he wasn't the one being forced to move up 2 full weight classes (12 pounds) for the fight. I also don't understand how people (mostly floyd fans and manny haters it seems) get the idea that Oscar was weight drained for the fight when he himself came in at 145. 145, TWO pounds under 147. Why would anyone in the right mind whose struggling to make 147 come in two pounds lighter. I mean, unless Oscar put a big bet on Manny to win and was purposely trying to lose, I really don't see the reason to come in 2 pounds under 147. Oh and the public as well as the book keepers in Vegas happened to favor Oscar that night against the much smaller guy by making him an almost 3-1 favorite. 3-1 pretty much means he was supposed to win that fight.
I already explained Margaritto's case above, so I'm not gonna regurgitate the same thing.
I think you're pretty much grasping at straws to try and discredit one man's accomplishments. I have no problems if you don't like the guy, just don't make up a bunch of BS to try and discredit his great body of work. Although in the end his detractors will pretty much be left crying for more as he'll undoubtedly go down extremely high as far as ATG's are concerned.
