Man, this was a good weekend for boxing.

I will say I was disappointed with Ortiz and Peterson's performances a bit. But Khan and Maidana both put on a great show. Maidana was unrelenting and Amir took some great shots, I thought he was on his way out. I was kind of disappointed in Amir, though, in that after hurting Marcos so badly to the body he didn't really try to throw those type of hurtful shots down there through the remainder of the night. And it didn't seem like Freddie instructed him too either. Marcos didn't lose his focus and it paid off to some extent later in the night, though it didn't secure him the victory. Showtime put on two great matches for their bantamweight tournament. Props to Showtime for doing these tournaments and putting great talents in the ring together. My man Agbeko avenged his loss, Mares keeps moving on up and I'm excited to see how it all concludes.
