HBO commentators last night

Jim Lampley should have been inducted into the hall of fame. Larry Merchant is a legend. That said yesterday they disappointed me in many aspects. Lampley is biased towards any HBO boxer. Yesterday he failed to call out Khans lack of corner. When Maidanas corner called out Marcos's lack of heart after the 9th round they didn't comment on the situation. This was Larry Merchants worse post fight interview. Instead of questioning Khan on his approach in the fight, his lack of staying within the fight, who does he want to fight next, what does he think of Maidana, where is he gonna fight next he basically asked him 1 question and ended the interview. Then he jumps over to Maidana asks him a couple questions about did he think he won and who he wants next. For a Fight of the Year type fight HBO commentators did maybe the worst job I have ever seen them do. And I didn't even bring up the Ortiz vs Peterson call of the fight or lack there of. When you have Ortiz up by so many rounds supposedly and it ends up a majority draw Cmmon Man.

Roy is easily the best current boxing commentator. He makes the fights much more enjoyable to me. He adds a knowledgeable perspective and entertaining and spot on commentary. I agree....Roy has a keen eye for the happenings inside the ring....its like he has inside info that Lamp, Merch, Max, or Manny Steward don't have....just like Tarver on Showtime....he adds creditbility to the commentation....I always said fighters and ex-fighters make better commentators than those who NEVER laced them up...thats my opinion....HBO did the right thing by bringing Roy back....they was losing credibility imo

Jim Lampley, Rich Marotta, Max Kellerman only in the Post fight interview, Nate Cambell is a good talker also.

Larry Merchant had another speaking engagement to attend so he cut it short ..... just guessing because that was really strange stuff by Larry!

This is the question Congratulations Amir, you picked Maidana because you wanted to show that you could fight against the strongest puncher in the division and erase the memory of your knockout..do you think you succeeded? He made a statement before the question and he brought up his knockout loss considering the fight that just happened and him PICKInG Maidana as if it was Berto picking fighters is the problem. To Larry Merchant and Max KKKellerman HBO=Hispanic(ie Mexicans) Boxers Out! To Roy Jones HBO= Help a Brotha Out Larry Merchant has gotten more Mexiphobic recently because he's going to retire and Jim lampley has eased up to balance out and make the KKKrew less objectionable.

Merchant is a racist and the sight of Khan made him think of Prince Naz so he left. As for Maidana, he left the interview, he didn't give a ****. Never saw the HBO commentary but British ones is damn bias, but I like it that way, **** Argentinaians. why? pretty lame man, sorry to say this :) learn to spell.

The last time Khan was interviewed on HBO after the Mallinagii fight he asked for Maidana and told Bradley and Alexander to fight each other. I can't believe I'm saying this but Max is a better post fight interveiwer than Larry lately.

Yeah, WTF was up with the 1 question post fight interview by Merchant? Merchant must go! He gave a f'd up interview for the Katsidis fight, and now this crap!
