ya I was watching highlights and I wasn't really paying attention to the first few seconds of the first round until I heard a big commotion from the fans, seems amir had to duck right away after he was attempting to touch gloves with maidana at the start of the fight (is that really too much to ask from maidana?) Seriously and lets suppose khan gets knocked out from that, would maidana be all proud? Agree with the rabbit punching, and that elbow - look at his eyes he really did want it to land until the last second. He is a tough fighter but no class.

Everytime Khan wanted to tap gloves Maidana would throw a wide hook Maidana almost knocks Cortez out with an elbow, figures he cant beat Khan so he has to take out an elderly citezin Maidana kept rabbit punching even after warnings Maidana didnt want to adress his fans or talk to media after the Khan boxing clinic This is the third Maidana fight I have seen and he throws rabbit punches and punches after the ref breaks as well in all 3. He is a dirty fighter.

Dumb post. Knocked Cortez out with an elbow? Sad. No mention of Khan's intentional and oh so blatant headbutt in the mid-rounds? And no. The glove touch thing, after all pre-fight **** talking, it's whatever. First time I was surprised, but he just wanted to get the fight underway. Second time, it was shame on Khan.
