Maidana is 4 to 1 to KO Khan. Is it worth a bet?

But I'm not going to miss out on the opportunity to cash in on a mismatch like tonight's when the odds are so good.

I have $100 riding on that, plus a bunch of smaller wagers on rounds, handicaps, etc. But I am straddling that with Khan KO for another $100 at even odds. So even if Khan TKO's Maidana I don't lose anything. No outcome is going to make me rich, even if I get the knock out round correct, but its something fun I like to do. Fact remains that Maidana has some serious power, even though his boxing skills are somewhat primitive. If Khan gets lazy, drops his gloves and gets caught, he could get dropped. I think the opportunity could easily present itself where Khan is hurting Maidana, and trying to impress the crowd, Khan goes in for a kill while forgetting how hard Maidana can crack. This could present Maidana with a golden opportunity. I think if he is smart he can use that to his advantage.

4-1 are ridiculous odds for a Maidana KO. They should be much, much closer than that. It's 5.5-1 here at Mandalay Bay. Bunch of Khan fans and very few Maidana fans are skewing the odds. When Maidana knocks out this fraud I am gonna be rich.

I got 5.5-1 on the Maidana KO right here as the casino so I wouldn't take 4-1 just because you should be getting a better price. Then again, there are a bunch of Brits here betting on Khan just cause he's British so maybe that's why the odds are better.

It's a good bet. Has Amir ever beaten a puncher? I don't think so. But Roach is a great coach, so who knows.

I think Khan is probably going to outbox Maidana, possibly even KO him in the mid-late rounds. But 4-1 is not a bad deal considering Maidana packs a hell of a punch and Khan's chin is highly suspect. He hasn't faced this kind of power before, and if he gets caught it could be lights out. Anyone else think it's worth taking a shot? PS- Khan has a similiar style to Kotelnik, and Maidana was able to find Kotelnik's chin a few times in their fight. Not saying Khan isn't bette than Kotelnik, but if Maidana can find his chin like he did Andres', he has a good shot to KO Khan. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
