Sugar Shane even said it in an interview im trying to find it on youtube as we speak. Diego had to lose 18 lbs of water weight. Like Shane said you never see floyd knock anyone out like that before then all of a sudden he does this to a big guy? He also went on to say anyone at that weight class would have done that or something to that effect that they would have done the same thing that mayweather did
So one of floyds best wins was really amplified becoz of the scales .... just like pacquiao right? :smashfrea
weight drain excuses are for sukkas!!!! if yo fighter agree to fight at a certain weight, then that's on him!! if he shows up drained, then that's on him!!!! he had months to train for the fight and get his weight down, if he shows up looking like a dead man, then that's on him!!!
- - Background was Corrales had copped a guilty verdict in court, I think for beating his girl as I recall, thus needing emergency $$$ before incarceration. He had announced he was struggling in his last fight and was moving up.
Arum, bless his conniving heart smelled that blood in the water and made him a good family offer he couldn't turn down. l'l floydy whooped a zombie that night, but look what unknown JL Castillo did to him later. Never seen a fighter whooped worse than that, but that's the way a crooked sport like boxing works...next!!!

A loss is a loss and a win is a win. Winning isn't 100% about the skill of the fighter it's about the skills of the fighter and his team.
The fight begins at the signing of the contract (or maybe even before) A boxing coach and manager is supposed to advance as many advantages to their fighter as possible. Mayweather happens to be a better boxer with a better team.

I’m no Mayweather fan by a long shot but that was Diego’s weight class. Not only that but he did go up to 135 and then 138 after and came right back down again to fight Casamayor TWICE at 132.
Corrales is what fan girls in here call a “weight bulky”. It was his choice and it was a huge advantage for him.
He was a monster. It was a ligit a-as whippin.
G doggy dog - how was he weight drained when he hadn’t fought higher than super featherweight before Floyd? He didn’t go up in divisions and come back down to fight Floyd, he was at the division they fought at. I feel like ppl who dislike Floyd for whatever reason will literally try to discredit every single win he had lol it’s kinda weird. And I find it funny that manny pacquiao drains the shit outta fighters that Floyd went up to their class to fight but they were past their primes when Floyd fought them but afterwards manny fights them at catchweights and gets full credit lmao saying corrales was drained is like saying Errol Spence and Crawford was drained when they fought. Both guys had never fought higher than welterweight but still had trouble making weight. U think going from 150-135 is draining? How heavy do u think Floyd walks around at? Less? Na lol…Spence and Crawford walk around at 180 and fight at 47. What manny did wit de la Hoya is a weight drain and he only had to make 144 for a 154 title while his opponent had to come to 150. Corrales wasn’t drained.
coralles's weight gain fight night was no different than de la hoya's and baldomir's when they fought floyd--like the above post, diego's footwork was always stiff--he kept his feet to square--because he was a puncher--the threadstarter doesn't know sh1t about boxing, and was just going off of what shane said---i bet you all right now that the little fukker is on google trying to research some more **** to come on here and present it as something credible---like manny fans seem to do more often than not-lol---

Floyd didn't knock him out.......he didn't even really have him that hurt as i could see.....he just got him off balance again and again. That's the thing about Corrales...he didn't exactly have the best footwork.
Here's something else to ponder. Deigo had some good wins at 130 after the Mayweather fight, and he also lost then beat Casamayor in two fights at 130.
Also he had conditioning coach extraordinaire Alex Ariza in his corner. Or maybe Alex wasn't in the PED game back then :D

Floyd was on PEDs. He didn't do random blood testing to make an even playing field.
ricky hatton walks around at 180 pounds, and sheds down to 140 and he only lost to floyd and manny--and it had nothing to do with weight--he was outskilled---loud canadian doesn't know too much about boxing--i'm a fighter---i know shedding water weight can drain you---ask manny's opponents---the ts needs serious help---
wasn't the TS on floyds nutts hard after the mosley fight? had his sigs and avatar pics all up and sh** lol
i guess he's in need of karma so he's trying to comfort the pac fans around here..what a 2 faced lil bit** lol
stfu u know what ur takling about. look at the video. look at the fight night weights dumb assyou're a complete fool---look in the mirror and remind yourself of it---did you read my posts correctly idiot? you're going of shane's words as if their as good as gold---you don't know sh1t----i know exactly what i'm talking about--i have followed floyd's whole career since his amateur days--i know more about this sport than you can even count--you're a lame---proud canadian? i didn't know canada bred dumbass dipsh1ts---
the ts is on some ****--had it been at 135--according to you---he would have still been weight drained--you're a complete fool---so, you think coralles would have been faster or something at 135? stop trying to take away the victory from floyd? you call people nuthuggers who disagree with you--you're nut swallower for making this thread----
even sugar shane said it---oh no--sugar said it---you're like a little catholic school girl--get a life punk--
Floyd was not a big name in 01 or 02 which ever year this took place, I saw it when it aired live and really wasn't familiar with Floyd. There was no internet as we know it back then so the only time Floyd could get any press was before a fight and I think this was only his 20th or something so there wasn't much hype surrounding him then.
Did you ever watch the fight? Floyd was just better in all aspects of the game, too fast, too skilled, and he could crack at lower weights.
of course your gonna be all better in all aspects if you got an advantage as in being weight drained or not. Im not scientist but dont you think a 6''1 23 year old man cutting from 150 - 130 lbs is a bit much? hell any man would be DRAINED of they skills
Even if he had some problems G-dog, its his own fault and you can't bash Floyd for that even if you can for many other things.
That was one of the 1st Floyd fights I ever saw and I was impressed with his skill and speed.
pfff his own fault? yea its his fault he was a 6''1 giant and a BIG pay day was at 130. Guarentee if the fight was at 135 it would have been a different story. Floyd beat a weight drained Corrales and Sugar shane even said so himself
