Man, i miss the fighter Valero was and could have been. Not the person, but the fighter guys.
He was a few adjustments and tweeks away from being a monster. Againest Demacro he showed he was much more than a puncher. Till to this day im ****ing mad that his life ended the way it did. and to his wife, RIP to both.
He had GREAT future coming up, and i instantly became a fan. I rather him togo jail like Tyson and have him and his wife alive. I miss that guy.
valero was a rediculously underrated boxer
go watch him spar top tier guys
he never got hit
urbano antillon just put up a hell of a fight on PPV vs soto
theres footage of valero in '07 or '08 stopping him in sparring
antillon was undefeate3d at the time
and he couldnt TOUCH valero
maidana is a very slight power puncher compared to valero
i'm on the opiion that valero was the one of the most phyisically gifted fighters on the planet when he died in terms of pure god given talent
I think Valero could have been something very special indeed
he is still a young blood at that time so maybe can criticize the validity of his 100% knockout rate. what makes valero dangerous also is that he is willing and can solidly brace himself to be hit just to land his devastating punch. even we say most of his victims were bum or whatever the word is, we cant deny the guy can really hit hard.
Nah, Maidana doing his own thing and doing it with a stronger resume.Valero's skill was definitely better he could have been great. His opposition was lighter but he was ready to step up after Demarco i actually was hoping for JMM/Valero that would have been great.
Maybe you should look at his record an you will find out that he lost already to Andreas Kotelnik. So I guess no would be your answer
kotelnik got a home cooked meal...

While he didn't live long enough to really have career defining fights...he sure showed vs the 27 fighters he did fight for someone to say he wasn't a big puncher.
There's this myth that big punchers end every fight by one punch, 10 count, eyes rolled in the back of their opponent's head, knockouts.
Big punchers in history didn't get their 70, 80, 90% KO ratios all via first round, one punch, head turning KOs....
Tyson, Foreman, Marciano, etc all had their share of accumulation stoppages or TKOs...but they still came from big punches
maybe outta the ring, but you got to give the guy props for his in the ring performances, he was being touted as the next pac, i think they were building him up to fight pac...
Valero didnt exactly step up and fight anybody of real note during his career his record may make good reading but his resume was pretty awful. His power was alos overrated he wasn’t exactly a one punch K.O kinda guy like people seem to think.
