We fail to see that many times a good defense will shut down a good offense, but a good offense could just as easily catch a good defense as well. Although, maybe not as much of the time. Mayweather's defense is far superior in execution against many fighters out there. And even though he's not as superior as he used to be, he is still better than the majority out there. We can't, though, assume that he's at his tip top 130 lb version anymore either. If he slips, and is caught with a fast onslaught of punches, he can be damaged to a level that he has never endured before. We can't assume that he can't be dinged anymore. Where he used to clearly avoid punches with ease and with much room to spare, we see the distance between the punches landing getting ever so closer to him as time goes on. But I know that if a punch misses by two inches or two centimeters, it's still a missed punch. The point is that the punches are getting closer now than ever before. I would be blind to NOT consider that, as would be anyone else out there.
