Do you think he was worthy?
* 15 ttle defences
* Unified the divsion
* Brought alot of casual fans to the sport
Im sure there are more accomplishments there, but what do you think? was he HOF worthy?
a look its bcfc. bcfc is a brownie who never knew about boxing until chinny chin chin khan started fighting and hopped on his small teen sized balls. ahhhh I bet you think every brown boxer should be in the hall of fame right? tisk tisk tisk troll
if your calling me asian, your wrong....
Unified champ and was a great entertainter, deserves to be in the HOF
I agree with those that say he will get in eventually. Just a stacked ballot this year. He will be like a Little Red Lopez in that it may take some time but eventually there will be a weaker year without the for sure 1st timers on the ballot.
I think Hamed is borderline but would say he should be in. I vote yes. Not only did he have a damn good career but helped bring big paydays and attention to the little guys.
One thing I hate to hear when discussing is. Its that so and so is already in so then he should be to. People always say if Mcguigan or Norton are in then anyone should get in. Lets base it on just the guys career and accomplishments.
Another thing that is always over used is that Hamed was destroyed by Barrera. He lost decision to a hall of fame fighter. It was probably 8 rounds to 4. Thats not a destruction.
I don't care what anybody says, floyd jacked the Prince's swagger. He must have idolized him. The grand entrances and the flashy ring attire came from the prince - never forget that!
Floyd could only wish to jack Naz's swagger. Naz was actually witty and entertaining.
WTF?
Anyways.............When will you people let the NAz legend die? It's amazing...
In 50 years there will be stories in England about Naz knocking out a rhino with one punch while on an African safari.
Legends never die, Naz was one of the greatest boxers to come out of Britian of course he will be remembered. Show me another fighter whos accomplished what he has and done it in that fashion?
That is Bullsh!t. Barrera won 8 rounds that's it. Hamed was never humiliated or exposed. He was past his prime and wasn't being trained well and lost to a fellow legend

I think Hahmed fought some of the best available oppponents but he was exposed by Marco Antonio Barrera who later became one of the greatest Mexican fighters, Naseem Hamed had the skill and talent. He had a great combinations, good movements, and was a great counter puncher and pressure boxer. good chin, However, Marco Antonio Barrera was a rising star Barrera just out boxed and outworked Hamed and pulled off a great upset that completely humiliated Hamed. He was offered a return but refused, he was never the same again, the legend that never was.

but how can he be worthy when he never proved his mettle after getting owned by barerra??? he didn't go on to do anything after the loss, he didn't get any wins against any world beaters, and he didn't even try after his loss..........
he is not worthy if you ask me. he's was a product of frank warren match making, fight guys before their ready for the world class level and power, and fight ex champs who were ripe for the pickings.
This is the same retard who who thinks Kostya Tszyu deserves credit for wins over such washed up opponents like Jesse James Leija,Roger Mayweather,Livingstone Bramble and Julio Cesar Chavez.
Hamed fought opponents were were still relevant at a world class level.The fighters you credit Tszyu for beating were shot and hadn't been relevant on the world level for years.
What did Tszyu do after he quit on his stool again? Did Tszyu "prove his mettle" when he got knocked silly by an average Vince Phillips and then avoiding ever having a rematch with him?

i'm not completely crapping on him and his career, hamed did have to raise up to beat those guys and he did it in exciting fashion, but there are a lot of guys who were exciting that wont and shouldn't make it to the hall of fame. one thing is for sure, warren had great promotion behind him.............. he could walk on water in the eyes of his fans.
