But I do remember Arum saying pacs guarantee right now is 15m for the marg fight plus he will make 10-12m on ppv Arum lied about that. The issue is a matter of who bears the risk: the promoter, or the fighter. For example, Shane got a $6.8 million guarantee for his fight with Mayweather. I am saying that it is wrong that Shane should be G'd up for as much as Manny. Think about YOUR job. Don't you want to maximize how much you are assured of making? Because, the reality is, some things are out of your control. Floyd was guaranteed $22 million for a fight that sold 1.4 million buys. lol idiot...there are thousand ways to understate profits. purses are guaranteed by hbo so in essence it's not an expense by the promoter. the promoter's accounting starts after the gauranteed purses by the fighters, hbo and cable company's percentage share. any excess revenues will be the share of the promoter less the promotional expenses before you could come up with promotional profits. if the fighters are entitled to share on the excess on top of the guarantee then that could be considered cost to the promoter. Manny in 2009 made $40 Million, he was ranked inside the top 10 richest athletes. this year of 2010 im pretty sure he can break $40 million again and would be rank again inside the top 10. you guys are just looking at pac's purse declared to the state commission. he also gets revenue for the rights to his fights in the Philippines which is in million US$. plus pac's promotional company has also shares in the profits. and isn't it that goldenboy sued arum and top rank for allegedly understating the profits and pac's purses in his previous fights thereby reducing goldenboy's share. arum hates gbp so much he would do every sneaky move to reduce their share. i wouldn't be surprised if arum transferred some of pac's purse and profits to pac's company to spurn gbp. i think pac needs to cut his ties from uncle arum. go solo and keep all his own money.nevermind blind loyalty that he shows to him and koncz. no idea who actully earns more between floyd and manny.dont care tbh. i think when you look at who earns most,you have to look at their opponents and how popular thier opponents are. also look at how much they each made vs opponents who wernt very popular. also how poor or rich each of their fanbase is,and if they charged ppv or aired the fight free to their own country. and im sure both would earn more if streams didnt exist at all and everyone had to pay 15 to 20 pounds/ dollars or whatever they pay in!. and im sure people would rather fork out more money for pac to destroy someone who was dangerous, instead of watching floyd cruise past someone who wasnt much of a threat to him in the first place. i know most would feel you get value for money watching pac more than you do watching floyd. On thing that we have to consider is that MANNY is happy, why? THe Dollar to Philippine Peso conversion is enourmous! The current conversion as we "speak" is: 1.00 USD = 43.5700 PHP That meant that Pacquiao's money is HUGE in the Philippines. He is relatively "richer" there than Mayweather in Vegas. Thus even if Arum is screwing Pacquiao (And taxes), life is cheaper also in the Philippines.

Less money through the gates and PPV which in turn will reduce the amount of money they get through sponsors. Then there's the fact that Top rank and Golden boy take a percentage of his purse.

Its quite simple actually. most of the 'boxing fans' just ride on pacquios nuts. Yet they have never went to his fights. Thats okay, but then there are people who have never been too one.
