I don't want to take anything away from Berto, but Floyd wins comfortably.
It's a legitimate fight and he'll get props for it.
And Floyd will reverse everything Pac's done in taking on Margarito (you can hate all you want, but Pac had to dig deep at times and took punishment), and then Mosley. No question, Floyd will be considered P4P No. 1.
And it then puts Pac in a very difficult position after Mosley. Berto is no longer a credible fight, it's Floyd's leftovers again. All the talk about Floyd's record takes a back seat to Pac's choosing of Mosley.
Martinez becomes the only real option in light of the unofficial 140 tournament. It's a dangerous fight and he'll take punishment.
Floyd fighting Berto causes Pac and Arum all sorts of problems.
what the, floyd fighting berto will damage pac??? how so? LOL
When you consider the ratings have Floyd and Pac pretty much level, some with Pac slightly ahead, then a Berto win is far more worthy than Mosley who's completely out of it.
Floyd putting on a masterclass against an unbeaten titlist will give him the top spot and so it puts the pressure back onto Pac. But who is there for Pac to reclaim it with other than fighting Martinez?
Floyd should have fought Cotto at 154 when Margarito got signed against Pacman!!Now Berto is a legit fight for him,but Pactards are gonna find a way to lessen the win!!But truthfully taking Berto's title is the best fight for either 1 at the moment, that unifies 147 & the title is a real bargaining tool!!Or Floyd can take k-9's title at 154,he can unify 147 or take another title at 154,he doesn't need to fight Martinez right now, because quite frankly Pacman hasn't fought any one remotely as dangerous as Martinez & Floyd can't beat Martinez just like Pacman can't so fighting him is simply bad management for either!!
I actually think both Floyd and Pac have the means to beat Martinez. Floyd more so.
Pavlik opened Martinez up in the middle rounds. It was only until a strong left from Martinez which he capitalised on that took him past the finish. Floyd has the means to open him up much more than Pavlik.
But you're right it's certainly a difficult fight and Martinez has a good chance.
That's why if Floyd gets to Berto first, Pac really has no other option to reclaim the number 1 spot. Let him have to go through with it.

Floyd getting a UD over Berto wont be as impressive as Pacquiao getting a KO or TKO of Mosley. Not only that but Pacquiao-Mosley will easily outsell Mayweather-Berto
It doesnt matter anyways cuz Floyd is getting locked up. Boxing is the furthest thing from his mind right now cuz once he gets locked up hes gotta worry about not dropping the soap. Unless hes into that sorta thing like ellerbe.
I don't know.
When Floyd thoroughly outboxes Andre... what will most of his detractors say?
Who the hell has Berto fought, though?
And, they wouldn't necessarily be wrong.
