Manny will kill Floyd

I wonder why in 2 fights vs Marquez ( who is not nearly the counter puncher that Mayweather is) Pacquiao THREW more punches (100 more per fight) and was still outlanded by Marquez? I get what you are saying about Pac's workrate but just about every fighter THROWS more punches vs Mayweather yet they ALL get outlanded. So you saying Pac's work rate will be higher really means nothing IMO..... look at Pacs face after the Clottey fight...he threw over 1000 punches and couldnt break Clotteys defense. Pac actually looked like her got 1000 punches thrown against him. I guess we will never know until they fight... :boxing:

Manny has never fought any one like Floyd , and Floyd has never fought anyone like Manny. Fair enough?? But Floyd doesnt do enought to shut Manny down. We know Floyd is almost coming to survive. Mannny is coming to finish him up. Its really not that hard. Floyd is hittable. And Pacquiao is a beast , a punching machine. So you think Floyd is going to be in survival/defensive mode the whole time? Common, not even you truly believe that.

This entire post is a FAIL.... 1st- DLH was landing on Gloves and Arms the whole fight. If you look at that fight you will see who landed the CLEANER PUNCHES! Also I bet you didnt know that Oscar threw more jabs after the 7th round then he did from rounds 1-6. *cough*cough*..rememeber the "Ohhh Oscar stopped throwing his jab" Crap?...yah thats a myth.... 2nd- JMM was able to get countered cuz he was @145lbs? Actually he weighed in @ 142lbs and him being at that weight IS NOT the reason he was able to get countered all fight. You claim he was slow but he threw 100 more punches than Floyd. Also in the 2 fights vs Pac...JMM threw less punches BUT he landed more and won more rounds out of the 24 rounds they fought. 3rd- you say "Cotto , Clottey , Margarito. They might not be as skilled , but they are top fighters who have their strenghts and posses threats."....:pat: *sigh*.... neither one of these fighters youve mentioned above are anywhere near Mayweather is skill or defense or accurace or ring IQ. Comparing his last fight stats to that of Pacs is something boxing fans should study. The volume of punches is worth comparing. Granting that 50% of Pac's punches will not find its mark due to Floyds skills, Pac will still outpunched him by almost 60%. This fight is all about range, Floyd can throw first because he will be in range first. Then from there Manny will try to get off first which is a mistake since Floyd will be out of range that will lead to nasty counters. Enough said.

Also there is something to be said for economy of motion, why move any more than you have to to stay out of range, like if you can move 6 inches and be just out of range that is better than moving 4 feet to be out of range. Floyd does not get on his horse all that much to begin with, he always moves but he has never been trying to imitate Cory Spinks either.

This fight is all about range, Floyd can throw first because he will be in range first. Then from there Manny will try to get off first which is a mistake since Floyd will be out of range that will lead to nasty counters. Manny will be able to catch Floyd a few times as Floyd falls/come in range when on offense if he waits for that, but the question to me is how is that going to be enough. Floyd knows how to fight tall and exploited that advantage mercilessly against JMM. It is tough to really damage a guy if you can't get in range~

I don't know about "kill", but like Reed mentioned in a previous post, Floyd's movement in the ring has left him a bit since being in the lighter weights. He's fought guys since then that for the most part he didn't need to be sharp on his legs to evade punches, at least as fast and as accurate as Pacquiao punches are. Really tough fight to call. We've become used to saying "Floyd's defense is amazing, he'll beat X_________________ easily". But I'm in the slight minority (or am I?) that believes the longer this fight is prolonged, and as good defensively Floyd still may be, just a fraction off Mayweather's timing can be damaging in a fight with Pacquiao.

I dont expect this fight to happen either. But your disregarding the fact that JMM and Pac fought at 135. And pacquiao was 129 and 125 for his fights. We are talking about an almost 20 pound difference. Not only that , but Pac has improved in every aspect. Not just small improvements. He is a more complete fighter. Pac is not overrated. And didnt Pac agree to drug testing?? Seriously , Im not trying to be a smart ass. I thought he did agreed. And Floyd said after the Shane fight he was going to take some time off. How do you know? His competition as of late has been a joke. I think somebody with superior boxing ability could make him look pedestrian.......

I doubt it, I think Pac is somewhat over rated, if Marquez gave him so much trouble imagine what Floyd will do (he's a bigger, stronger, faster JMM).
