Sorry but I dislike Nonito Donaire

you guys are overly defensive of pacquiao. read ray's post objectively without pac's nuts over your eyes. you'll find that he's correct. stylistically, there's nothing special about pacquiao's style, it's the way he applies it that makes him special. we get it. Except boxers like Pac don't come around all the time. Even stylistically, Pac does not have peers. Physically, no other fighter can do it like he does or looks like Pac when attempting to fight similarly. I understand technical and talented boxers don't come around as often as the agressive puncher type. However simply to label Pacquiao as just a brawler or boxer puncher type is inaccurate. He's effective in a # of different ways.

I cant speak for other posters but I never said he has more "talent" or as "special". I was commenting on their boxing fundamentals and technique. Nonaire is as textbook as you can get, and as a fan of the sweet science it's great to watch. I agree that Manny is the best boxer on the planet right now. But from a technique standpoint. Nonito is in rare-afied PBF territory, they are damn near perfect in how they box. No I understand that. There are however a good # of posters who hold the belief Donaire also has more raw talent/ability. That I disagree with, although Donaire is also insanely gifted as well(in addition to very strong fundamentals/technique).

Seriously you do not understand what youre seeing, Boxers like Pac comes all the time, Volume punching but a technically gifted boxer like Nonito is rare, Not shiiting on Pac or anything but i see his style more than i see Nonitos. pacquiao is becoming the pernell whitaker of what he does though, imo. i can't think of any other volume puncher who puts out the circus performances pacquiao does in today's game. i've only seen one donaire fight so it wouldn't be fair for me to judge him. he seems like a flashier version of malignaggi or khan from what i recall.

There is no one doing what Pacquiao is doing Period. He's not regular volume punching aggression. The guy is averaging a ridiculous number of power punches per round, start to finish. He's regularly throwing 4+ punch combinations with speed, power and accuracy. Not just flashy attempts to steal a round or displays of speed. He's also got the footwork/footspeed to get in and get out before his opponents can get off. Does he use a classic arsenal of punches? Not always, because his high talent level allows him to create punches as he needs them to exploit openings as they become available. He's an offensive storm that pretty much combines all the best aggression characteristics of his peers and combines them into a single fighter. Is Donaire extremely gifted? Yes, and he will continue to improve.. However, Pacquiao is a bonafide once in a generation talent.

The only fighter right now that is as gifted as pacquaio is floyd mayweather. these are very true, PAC is special and we wont be seeing someone like him soon and we can say that as well for mayweather ... but IMHO Nonito has the potential to be a hybrid PAC/Mayweather type, lets see in 5 years what he ca do...

Is only me or there are other Pacman fans that dislike Nonito Donaire? No matter what Bob Arum want to sell us, but Donaire is not cut from the same wood as Pacman, no way and to relate Nonito to him is insulting. 1. I hate trash taking (Pacman doesnt do it) I like boxer do the talking with their fist in the ring. 2. Whenever I see a boxer with this kind of socks a la Donaire.... they lost my respect. Salamat parekoy. I think Donaire is criticized because he is more Am than Fil-Am or Pinoy. A lot of people can't really relate to him. Do you like him as a fellow Filipino though? lol

I like both boxers, but IMO Donaire is the better boxer. No one has to question if He's on roids because He wins like a Boxer, not like a Super hero. The socks work for him because He unlike Pacquaio has footwork and the socks can work for him. Bottom line is that I like Donaire because He's human and wins with skills. Pacquiao has a dark cloud over each one of his superhuman wins.

Nonito doesnt talk trash. In his last fight he gave his opponent props during the post fight interview. Hes really humble also. When asked if he deserved his P4P status he said I have to beat Montiel first. Why do you even care about what socks he wears when hes putting on a boxing masterpeice? Hes a great fighter with a great future is all I can say.

How can you not like this guy??? this guy is the example of boxing, He might not have the hollywood factor but hardcore boxing fans should value the guy period.
