Thats what Mexicans call it runnning but boxing is a sport, go to MMA and be "warriors" takes 40 punches, and fight has ended, boxing includes footwork, and intelligence to win fights, being a warrior in boxing is so overrated.

Consider Cotto's nose being busted VERY early in the fight and how that played into his stamina/strength as the fight went on. Watch the fight and it was Cotto's to win it until the last 20 seconds of the 10th round. The plaster. For all we know Margarito could of used it throughout his whole career. Or, he could of just tried to use it on Mosley and just got caught. Too many questions, and look what he did to Garcia without plaster. That wasn't the same Margarito that demolished Johnson, Cintron, and Cotto. Not even close.

How can people call good pro boxers bums?

mosley and margarito have seen their best years come and go, but they dont see it that way and think they are still peaking. neither are bums. whoever suggests that i think is probably pretty young and naieve.

Again... You are basing that on a fight in which there is a STRONG probability that ILLEGAL wraps (plaster) played a BIG part in the outcome. Against Shane he was mentally out of it for #1, Probably done at 147 #2 and fought a guy who was motivated and had the tools/physicality to execute the perfect gameplan to beat Tony most important and #3... Against Manny it was the dynamic speed that dominated Tony... But I watched it 4 times and each time felt that Tony was still dangerous all the way up to the 10th... One body shot could have shocked the world...

Do you guys have proof? No the only way is if they have the rematch and it will answer all the question people need to know. But it was margaritos presure and great chin and work rate which did cotto in and nothing will change in the rematch its all still there. I totally agree and I'm a Cotto fan... Well, your asking the wrong guy, cause I don't hold a margarito win in such high regard, he lost to Daniel santos, picked up a vacant title, and lost to Clottey. And Paul Williams, Shane Mosley, and Manny Pacman all dominated him. Margo fan boys just won't let it go, but I belive the majority sees Margo as the bum, he really is now. Tony never lost the Clottey... He was going to stop Santos in another round or two if allowed to continue... Stop with the dominated by Williams too man... If u don't like the guy that's fine, but at least see things for what they are... Tony was a World Class fighter for a lot of years and imo may reach that level again especially with another win over Cotto...

2010 "Shane KOd Margarito in his last fight! Hip Hip Hooray!" So if Margarito was such a bum all these years, why is Mosley stopping him such a big deal? He became a bum post-plaster - fact. He was overrated since his Cotto win.

People only get accused of being bums once Pac has finished them. Margarito is one of the biggest names in boxing for a reason. He is a top boxer. Nobody who ever faced margarito was ever accused of beating a bum or cherry picking apart from Pac.

Bc he destroyed two ricans and took their 0 add in martinez and you have a great resume. He was seen unbeatable and on the top of his game after making cotto quit. I know that, I'm just looking for the people on this site who, through the years, have called Margarito a bum, but somehow act like a victory by Shane over him, is somehow great. I just don't see how a KO victory over a supposed bum is somehow a great accomplishment. KOs over bums are supposed to happen. Yeah i hear you bro..

If someone views Cotto as great then Margarito should get in the HoF and that would be as that would be a signature win for a popular fighter who had a otherwise good run. I don't really view Cotto as great though, but I guess that depends how one defines great. That is before bringing up any negatives, and no reason to discuss that here (as that has been done to death) but opinions vary on that also I guess.

How was Marg a bum in said years? These were probably his best years. I don't know, I'm just repeating what other posters have said through the years.
