This guy is not a quality opponent for Wlad to face. However, he was just about the only one out there.
Negotiations with Haye are stalled. Valuev can't fight. Adamek turned them down. Tua turned them down (I dont think he can make the fight until he's completed his obligation to Maori TV). Povetkin bailed.
Maybe as will pick off a few up-and-commers. Remember, Wlad already fought twice this year. If anything, this is just a bonus fight to keep his face in the British headlines until he gets the fight with Haye.
I'll bet you would. But you'll have to settle for watching Chisora fight with blood pouring out of his mouth and ears instead.
LOL, that's right... usually the haters say the most exciting fights are the fights that in which the Klitschkos lost, I wonder why... f*cking haters...
Clay also got knocked down by Chucky Wepner, who makes Chisora look like a world beater. These guys know nothing about boxing history, or they'd realize that many of the greats often fought less than stellar competition, as the division has often been thin talent-wise.
This article states the case very well:

Great article, even Larry Merchant says that if they were American, they would be on the cover of every magazine in America.
Who else is around who was ready and willing to fight who is any better?
Don't say David Haye, he isn't willing and just fought a total joke far worse than Chisora.
Joe Louis had his "bum of the month club" - when the competition isn't great, that's what the great ones do: clean out the division. Instead of sitting on his ass, Wlad is out there fighting, and deserves praise for that, not criticism.
Exactly, the guy is keeping active and fighting a young, unbeaten fighter, from the UK, so that maybe he can flush out that other Brit, that Vagina that has been ducking him. Haters gonna hate no matter what. If Wlad was sitting on his @ss and fighting once a year like Gaye, he would criticized for that, he is fighting 3 times a year, he is criticized for that as well... f*cking haters. Who else should he have fought that hasn't ducked him? He called about half the HW and a third of the CWs, and all don't want any of him, even though they all talk a lot of sh*t when he is tied up in a fight.
Chisora is a bum with zero top quality fights on his record. This is the only reason clitschko is fighting him. While he is still so inexperienced. What kind of legacy is this? Pathetic.
I guess it was ok for ALI to fight a guy with 8 fights AND LOOSE, you are pathetic, you are probably a Diva Gaye fan.

LOL at all of these "ifs." If the sun doesn't rise tomorrow, it will be cold out, too. But I don't expect it will go missing.
You are using way too much conjecture to envision scenarios very unlikely to happen. Solis has done nothing special as a professional and he doesn't even like boxing. He just likes eating. The guy lacks motivation and is a good candidate to be exposed by someone like Austin.
Don't buy into the hype--Solis is a loooooong way from beating Vitali Klitschko, or even getting in the ring with him. He's just the latest Great Black Hope for those disillusioned with David Haye.
Yep, spot on, Vitaly is going to smoke that fat Cuban @ss like a fat Cohiba; first light him up and then put him out when his fat @ss is spent.
Legitimately, Chisora needs to headbutt Wlad and cut him open. I'd like to see Wlad fight with blood pouring down his face.
He has, Brock and Williamson come to mind. He is one of the toughest HWs of all time mentally and physicall and you haters can't stand it; never quit a fight (unlike say Tyson), always got up from a KD (unlike Lewis), and never shys away from a challenge (unlike Diva Gaye...).
Let's not forget Vitali turns 40 in a few months. He's not quite the heavyweight destroyer he was in the late 90s up until his fight with Williams in 2004. That being said, he's still very good and will likely defeat Solis regardless of what shape Odlanier is in.
By the way, why don't you guys who vote on the The Ring heavyweight ratings drop Valuev out of the top 10 heavyweights? He hasn't fought inwell over a year and hasn't won a fight since Holyfield two years ago.
He could be replaced by Helenius, Pulev or Solis.
That's all I meant. It's an indictment in that he'd be aged enough to lose there.
There is no voting on the Ring panel unless a specific vote is called for. Panelists can chime in with rec's and they take them up when the editors talk over changes. Not sure why Valuev is still there; maybe respect for injury. One year was just up too and, frankly, it easy to overlook as its hard to make a case that there are ten good Heavyweights. (Just kidding...sort of)
He will be taken out of BScene's ratings at the least.
Chisora's style is not the kind of style that is going to take out Wlad in 4 rounds, no way in hell thats happening. Its going to be a long night, by around the 6th round, Chisora will be fighting for survival.
Vitali will hospitalize that fat piece of sh*t a la Briggs. IF Solis even beats Ray Austin, which is no sure thing.
Yes it is but Austin is terrible so big deal. Solis will get a shot without winning a notable fight and, if Klit isn't shot and Solis doesn't get below 250 (at least), he'll lose.
Probably lose even if he does that but if he could recapture the mobility he had in the ammys, he'd at least give himself best shot. If Vitali lost to the 260-70 plus version of Solis, it would be a serious indictment.
I hope Chisora fights a good fight as well .I love seeing a British or Irish domestic or European fighter stepping up to world level .I'm excited for this fight can't wait .
Anyone that want to beat Wlad have to go for him early, By the 4th round Wlad has them figured which is bad news for them..
deerek has to go out n try n land some bombs first 4 rounds
Chisora is at least making an otherwise forgettable match (and, really, how many don't qualify) worth getting some fans into. This is, on paper, closer to Larry Holmes taking on Marvis Frazier than taking on a green Tim Witherspoon. Wlad needs one of the less-than-a-handful of competent contenders to sack up and go for a shot at the champ.
LOL, Vitaly is going to make that fat @ss Cuban quit like, just like he made Gomez quit, Vitaly is gonna have him some Cuban @ss again...
If Solis were remotely professionally conditioned, that would be a great match. He's not. If Vitali loses to someone forty lbs. off peak like that, it will be a sign Vitali has gotten super old.
He sure as hell aint gonna win by just standing there trying to box, but then just end up covering up and getting abused by Wlad. Like 99% of all wlad victims have done... If he wanna beat Wlad he has to go for the KO early, which all wlad opponents say they gonna do but then they don't.
