Who holds the better championship fight at 154?

Spinks at least fought elites and at the time had they fought even a shot Spinks would have been the slight Favorite not saying Cotto should have fought Cory instead Cory would not have been the favorite at the time... And, no Cory was not better than Foreman at the time. Yea Cory had fought elite in the likes of Mayorga, Judah, and Taylor...But, that was not the same Spinks as this version of Spinks who lost to k9 FFS's... And, he was better than Foreman? GTFOH...

We have become so accustomed to naturally bigger fighters coming down to a fighting weight and only having to lose the minimum to qualify for a division. But I agree that asking Margarito or any other fighter to lose more then they have to qualify for a division is criminal but they do it willingly for the pay day. Cotto didn't do anything in the 154 division to technically merit a shot at the title but he was way more accomplished then any other so-called contender at 154. Tons of people were posting that Foreman was too big, too strong, too fast for Cotto. They said that even if he didnt have a lot of KOs at 154 he would hurt a shot smaller Cotto. They said Miguel is already too short for 147 let alone 154. Now haters want to crap on his title? Cotto can't win for losing. But to be honest Dzinzurik is the legit 154 champ. Not Manny nor Cotto.

I think hes trying to point out that guys like Martinez and Williams would never be considered cherry pickers if they were fighting guys who consistantly had 15-20 pound weight advantage on them. I think it is a travesty that the 154lb belt could be contested at 150lb catchweight. Completely devalues the belt, which, as far as I'm concerned, is still vacant. So Cotto is the only one of the two with an actual win at 154

Cotto's fight wasn't meaningless,he went up in weight & defeated a champion in his rebound fight from being destroyed again!! foreman was just a standing target for who style depends on his footwork and movement he was pretty much a punch bag for cotto. anytime he took a step hes knee gives out and had no power to keep Cotto off so I wont exactly say Cotto defeated Foreman with that said Its not Cotto fault that he got hurt and Cotto deserved a easy fight in a division he never fought in after the year he had with Pac and Clottey

Foreman was already holding a legit belt and is a natural 154 pounder, Alphabet Belts are meaningless no matter how you slice it and Margarito had a 17 pound weight advantage so kind makes your whole catchweight theory a moot point.
