Mayweather is an american, What do you expect?
It will reach a million. Mosley's got one hell of a highlight real to flash around for the 24/7's. And Mosley won't have a problem pretending that he still got it.
To be fair Mayweather has been a star much longer than Pac has. Mayweather's biggest numbers came against DLH and that's because he FOUGHT DLH, not the other way around.
When Pac fought DLH, only people that didn't watch boxing much thought DLH would beat Pac, the rest of the hardcore baoxing fan base knew what would happen.
Can we stop these stupid threads and just get this fight on? When are these two going to agree to get this thing signed? For the milllllliiiiiiiooooooonth time, this fight will happen when Manny does what Floyd has already done... Agree to all terms..
I voted 325K less.
you will get pawned again when the PPV buys would do 2 or 3 times of what you thought it would be. same thing happened with Pac vs Marg. aren't you getting tired? you think 1.15M ppv buys still not good. get a life. stop hating yourself.
there is NO non american in the HISTORY of boxing who fought another non American and did at least 700K PPV buys. Manny has done it 3 times already. While Manny keeps on setting new records after records, you keep on finding something to hate him.
Manny Pac is probably the 5th top earner in the history of boxing behind Tyson, Holyfield, Delahoya and Floyd and guess what? they are all Americans. so dont pretend that being American has nothing to do with the PPV sales.
I hope it does better then the Margarito fight for the sake of the sport 1.1 or More
manny did:
1.25, then 1.2, then 1.15
not a good trend
i exclude the clottey fight because that had no 24/7 support.
They are sporting news and they get paid discussing those PPV sales.
And you think they are in the business of reporting on things that are not of interest?
You think that is a good revenue model?
This fight should NOT happen it's bad for his name it's bad for boxing it's just bad.
But seems like he's happy fighting floyds left overs :lol1:
I went on the record long ago to say that manny would fight mosley next.
as soon as floyd dominated mosley with huge ppv sales.
now, floyd got $22 million GUARANTEED, and shane got $6.8 million. We'll see how much arum pays manny and mosley.
This fight should NOT happen it's bad for his name it's bad for boxing it's just bad.
But seems like he's happy fighting floyds left overs :lol1:
but when he stops mosley, people will act like buster douglas just stopped a prime tyson.
The truth is people are so blinded by pacquiao that they don't realize what he's doing.
Just look at his opponents..they came from a big loss, weight drained, catch weight, floyds left overs..none of his last 4 or 5 opponents presented a danger to him..and cotto fought even without a proper coach :lol1:
He can keep doing that but he can't fool me..now that he's probably fighting mosley he confirmed what i said above.
But good that he's not fighting top rank fighters...oh wait

stfu you moron how come DLH didn't sell that much when he fought other fighters? The truth is mayweather knows how to sell fights he fought DLH at a good weight unlike duckquiao who let him come in weight drained.
when it comes to selling fights mayweather is the KING.With duckquiao you know that his opponent is gonna come in weight drained so real boxing fans won't even pay for the fight..he's lucky his country men don't really care about boxing as long as he's on tv they will pay to watch him.
If FAILING meant garnering more than 50 Million Dollars within the last two fights, hey sign me up for some MAJOR FAILURE! :

It'll probably do around the same as the Margarito fight.
might do less than the margartio fight imho. mosley needs a good win before this fight happens to make it bigger. it wouldn't hurt if he grabbed a belt.
I care about ppv numbers because it shows how well the sport of boxing is doing.
PPV numbers alone don't show how good or bad Boxing is doing being we only have 2 big fights a year. HBO made literally millions off their PPVs and HBO fights last year, yet their budget for Boxing was cut for 2010 in comparison to 2009's budget.
I believe as long as Boxing overall is getting coverage across the board (Mainstream and Hardcore Boxing circuits), it'll be fine. Plus, you have to account for the actual stars the sport produces in relation to what and how many PPVs they'll be able to produce. As of right now, maybe only 3-4 are big attractions as far as what they bring at the gate and PPV, meaning Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Cotto in a distant 3rd (Klitschkos over seas, but they're not on PPV).
Floyd's infamy, notoriety, and controversy sells tickets. Plain and simple. Much like sh#t attracts flies. Many people sign up just to see him lose.
That's the difference.
Pac's PPV numbers comprise mostly of fans who want to see him fight.
Pac's on the cover of Time Magazine, Readers' Digest, featured on 60 minutes, appears on Jimmy Kimmel and George Lopez, and is admired by Hollywood and other sports celebrities. He has endorsement deals with Nike, Mcdonald's and a handful of other premier brands here and in his native Philippines.
Whereas Floyd will be lucky to stay out of jail. And if he does, I doubt he'll have the balls to face Pac in the ring !
This is simply the truth.
