1. Not enough money.
2. Fighters don't want to fight in another fighter's hometown because they might get a gift from the judges. Example: Devon in 2010.
3. Too hot and too humid.
4. The time zone difference.
Because there is no money there people don't even have money to eat much less to go watch a pacquiao fight don't be dumb :)
"dont be dumb" - are you talking to yourself?
Because flips are poor ass f@ck? If roid head were to fight there it would be strictly for charity reasons.
Yup. But your country São Tomé and Príncipe is at the bottom of this
Chart

The Philippines is not exactly a poor country. I mean
as in poor.
The media always portrays the bad and the ugly.
I don't blame ignoramuses of this world for not
educating themselves properly.

The Philippines has its share of poverty, especially in the urban slums and the provinces. But you'd be surprised at how many people are at the malls even on weekdays or how many foreign artists hold sold-out concerts here. Just like most everywhere else, our society is a pyramid, with the rich accounting for the rarefied few, the middle class comprising the next largest segment, and the poor comprising the bulk of society.
and have it on hbo ppv? i dont get it?

LOL the Philippines Economy is 10x the size of what it was during the Marcos era. a 6.5 % GDP growth a year is more then double the US atm. The thrilla in manila happened because Marcos payed out the wazoo for it so it was profitable. Pacquaio has fought a title fight before in Araneta. Also what fighters besides Pac wants to fight in that kind of heat/humidity? PPV money in the US is MUCH more profit as well.
Thanks for repeating everything I've just stated in that post.
I don't think the heat/humidity would be a problem. It's the profit, as you said.
Yeah, I think people forgot about Thrilla in Manila. Arenata Coliseum was the largest covered coliseum back then (correct me if I'm wrong) and President Marcos paid a huge amount of money to get the fight there.
The country's economy is obviously sh.it now, so the chances of a huge fight happening there is small. Congress, however, wants Pacquiao to be the poster boy for tourism. I have a feeling he'll eventually fight there once before he retires and something politically corrupt will happen in between all this. It'll be legendary.

LMAO @ Any sane person agreeing to fighting Pac in the Philipines.
You guys know Pac has his own army there right?
LMAO @ the thought of beating Pac in the Philipines and making it out alive. It's funny until you realize how desperate some of these fighters are to fight Pac for that paycheck.

It would make more money in America and would be a huge hassle and cost a ton of money for HBO to bring their entire production team to the phillipines.
And Manny does everything Uncle Bob tells him to. I doubt Unlce Bob is interested in losing money so Manny can fight in the Phillipines.
Because their home countries are poor and nobody can afford tickets to generate money
really i didnt know that about ukraine. but i think manny will fight there one last time maybe his last ever fight
