Good ass fight. Valero didn't get a chance to prove to the world how good he really was, so we really don't know. But I'd give it to Marquez from what we all do know.

Valero wasn't nearly as good at cutting the ring off as he was at cutting off his air supply. Maybe he could hang around until the late rounds, but i don't see the fight swinging in his favour.

JMM would have stood up to then punished the bully Valero. By the way he should rot in hell not rest in piece, he deserves no sympathy or kind thoughts.

Juan Manuel Marquez Would of Knocked Out Valero in the later rounds, Marquez is more technical and much better fighter overall!!! Valero never fought anyone good other than Demarco who was just a prospect!!

Marquez cuts Valero up (literally and figuratively) punching inside of Valero's longer shots all night. i agree with the guy who said Valero is entirely unworthy of an RIP. As good as he was in the ring, he was that much of a slime ball out of it.

Even though I'm a huge JMM fan, I saw something in Valero against Demarco that could have been really dangerous for Marquez. Though since we did not see him fight more I'm inclined to saying Marquez by decision. This is exactly my thoughts. If he would have kept his mouth closed more i think he could have knocked this version of Marquez out imo..

Valero opened himself up way to much when he was on an all out attack i think he would do very well into the Middle rounds and get stopped late in the fight against Marquez.
