but i love to see Pac vs JMM. blame haters for saying Manny hasnt fought a black american. because now that he is about to fight Mosley suddenly he is not good enough for Manny.
I don't buy this Pac hasn't fought an AA. Nah. Team Pac had been calling out the best AA in today's standards. He went on vacation.
I would have preferred Berto, instead of Mosley. The freshness of Berto might turn out to be a huge selling point.

against a bigger draw, Mosley could get a good ppv numbers. without a dance partner Mosley has no power. JMM fought Floyd and did more than a million buys. Mosley fought Floyd and did pretty good numbers. so was against Oscar.
you all can hate Arum now but the guy is a business man. he can prove u haters WRONG again. he has been in a business for a long time. Pac against Marg you guys talking about boycotting the fight but it did better than Floyd vs Marquez. i think Americans buy more ppv's than Mexican American. its been proven over and over again.

remember back when shane fought on the UNDERCARD of Marg-Froggy? That sold 225K.
Eh.. I think both are equally a draw...
The point was anyways that the poster I was responding to flipped flopped.
Unfortunately i think shane is still the bigger draw.
The fight over the weekend was a 'triple-header'. And only about 4k peeps showed up, with JMM as the main event.
I just don't see how JMM can be the bigger draw. But then again, with his history with PAC, maybe the boxing public will be intrigued.
Shane had about 3,000 seats sold in Mandalay Bay for Collazo...and it wasn't Thanksgiving weekend.
This may have been a 'triple-header' , but in reality we know nobody came to see Celestino or Andre. Andre couldn't sell seats in Florida when he (rightly) was trying to raise funds for earthquake victims.
Unfortunately i think shane is still the bigger draw.

But, that really only lasted like 7 months... Overall JMM has been bigger than Marg...
Marg just had a real cult following and he still does.

margarito is a bigger commercial draw than JMM, though.
Or "was" a bigger draw there for a time.
When they sold out Staples, that was all Tony.

Are you all retards?
Have u seen marquez ppv numbers recently.
He has hardly any fans. Obviously mosley has more fans.
when did this forum start to care so much about ppv sales, who is a bigger draw, and ticket sales?
Those things don't matter to real fans....right?
You also said that in the bold though...
You big'ing up JMM pretty good when I remember you were seriously downplaying his drawing power not so long ago...
I know you remember what I am talking about.

I'll take JMM. The history alone between him and Pac would sell this fight. C'mon man even the casual fan doesn't want to see Mosley after his last 2 performances. Arum is talking out of his butt. JMM vs Pac outsells Pac vs Margs at this point.

Vote it up........
Arum said Mosley is a crossover star and that not even the Mexicans follow JMM...
where is that guy who said ticket sales and ppv numbers were important?
I think that number is so underrated. Some people don't understand that for that weight-class that is an equivalent of around a million buys... Just look at the PPV history below LW.
That is an often over looked ppv stat..
Mosley has been in bigger PPV's than Marquez.
One of the DLH fights sold 900k
Mayweather fight sold 1.4Mill
I think he sold 500k with one of the Vargas fights
Marquez sold 1.1Million with Mayweather
400k with Pacquiao
Who knows what the Diaz II and Casamayor fights sold
But as of right now, it could be a toss up, but Marquez has a Mexican fanbase behind him and Americans don't really support Mosley.

mosley at 147 lbs still poses a bigger threat to pac than jmm, even at 140 lbs.
mosley has several selling points (everyone of them a flomo talking point):
mosley KOed marg, pac couldn't
pac don't fight African americans (mosley is AA)
pac fights at catchweight (mosley/pac won't have a catchweight)
jmm has only 1 selling point (also a flomo talking point):
jmm had 2 close fights w/ pac at 126 and 130 lbs
if you really think about it, the mosley fight is the fight that is easier to promote imho.
No man, just no...
On the real I think it could be easier to sell Berto right now at 147 than it is Shane would be...
Damn I don't want to see JMM-Pac above 135. But, just cuz of their history that crappy fight might sell at 140. Especially if it is in May around Cinco de Mayo weekend or in September for Mexican Independence Day...:ugh:
Because Mosley was considered an actual threat at the time to Floyd..
It peaked interest in the matchup.
JMM at welterweight?
Not so much.
Numbers can lie.
