Considering the boxers who formed the original Super 6 line up, which one has had the easiest route to the semi-final stage.. Andre Ward, Carl Froch or Arthur Abraham?
Abraham, he didn't even have to win two fights. Ward had to beat the favorite in his first fight.
Froch had indisputably the hardest road. It's crazy that he ended up fighting Kessler, Dirrell, and Abraham, and won 2 of those fights.
LOL...
Yeah, and as soon as Mayweather leaves Las Vegas and has a neutral ref that takes away his forearm shiver he is going to get knocked out easily, by people he would have easily beaten if the fight was in Vegas.
Negative sir, Mayweather is hardly a dirty fighter in my opinion. Ward's entire strategy revolves around shady moves. Mayweather can fight wherever he wants. Ward however, he better stay in Oakland.
Loving this poll.. Ward will be exposed for his hometown habbits and partial officiating soon enough.

Ward fought who the tournament dictated.
In the semis and finals, Ward will continue fighting who the tournament dictates.
Abraham will be the 3rd consecutive fighter to pull out of the Super 6 ahead of a fight with Andre Ward.
That has to be some kind of record.
Ward doesn't hold and hit. He smothers and hits... (I think ur confused by that) So here's the difference. When u get in close, Ward grabs u, but within a second, he lets go (not holding) and unleashes a flurry. After the flurry he smothers u, staying chest to chest with u while he pushes and leans into u, which keeps u from being able to punch back. Than he may throw a couple more punches or whatever. That's why the referee never breaks him up right away. That's not holding. Sometimes he hooks ur arm, but u still have one free hand and so does he, so that's not holding and hitting either (it's certainly dirty, but its not holding and hitting).
Holding is what Dirrell did in the Froch fight, when u wrap ur arms around the person leaving both of u immobile. Holding and hitting is what Arthur Abraham would do when he would push ur head down with his elbow and punch u to the body. Holding and hitting is when ur holding ur opponent in such a way that leaves him incapable of hitting u back while u throw at will.
you don't have to try and justify the holding and hitting. ward isn't a great inside fighter, he's a hold-n-hit guy. just give it up.
Ward destroyed Kessler. Didn't lose a round. He was dominating way before any headbutts. They could have deducted 9 points and he still would have won.
Who had the easier rout? Who cares about that? Why not who is going to win the tournament? Or who has done better so far?
Two dominant wins for Ward. One dominant win and two close decisions for Froch. And as for Abraham, no one even wants to see him fight again.
Funny how people don't make as big of a deal about Bute fighting his last 20 fights in Montreal
of course it did!
maybe a different ref wouldn't have allowed ward to hold and hit so much.
dirrelll poses no threat to ward. dirrell can run, but he won't escape the clinches of ward. once ward gets a hold of him, he'll just headbutt or hit him in the clinch. easy fight imho given that dirrell lack fortitude.
I want to like ward I really do, but fighting at home for all 3 of his first bouts in the super six just really turns me off.

Ward, but only becuz he fought Green, and didn't have to fight Dirrell (In my mind, he earned the spot by beating Bika instead). Becuz he got to fight Green, he did. However, he certainly earned it by beating Bika and Kessler.
Froch probably had the hardest by far. Dirrell, Kessler, than Abraham. Not that Abraham was hard, but the idea of fighting all those guys r just sounds like a tough day at the job each time.
i like how ppl still act like ward fighting at home somehow changed the course of the fights.
of course it did!
he dominated both green and kessler, no amount of ref interference would have changed that fact.
maybe a different ref wouldn't have allowed ward to hold and hit so much.
anyways, ward still had the easier route, but it wasnt necessarily his fault. dirrell dropped out, if he hadnt, then ward would have probably had one of the tougher routes in all honesty.

Ward and its not even close.
he fought 2 easy replacment fighters (Green, Bika).
he got a tough start with Kessler, but this and all 3 fights were in his fukkin hometown so everything was crooked up and he could paly dirty all night long. :nonono:

I agree with that. At this point in the tourney I felt the only person that would be able to beat Ward was Dirrell just because of his awkward style and ability to box. I don't think Ward would have been able to get off flurries and smother the way he's been doing.
Sometimes hometown has an influence, but in Ward's case, he just fought the right fights, it's not like the the judges or ref slighted anyone for the sake of Ward winning. Dudes just had bad game plans.
I agree about Ward fighting at home the whole time but people seem to forget that he fought Mikkel "Second Best SMW Ever" Kessler in his first fight. If I recall correctly, Kessler was even favored to not only win the Ward fight but the entire tournament.
Exactly. To be honest, I thought Ward would be the worst in this tourney due to his resume and even in some of those fights, one of the fighters actually looked like they took a dive (Jones-Tarver III undercard).
I'm still not acclimated to Ward's style and I'm not planning on catching anymore of Ward's contests, but hey, the dude is getting the job done, and decisively.

That is the problem. There should have been more interference by the ref. Some of the stuff he was pulling against Kessler for instance would get many fighters disqualified. Kessler was basically butted to death on purpose. He would then rub his forehead into Kessler's cuts.
Until Ward gets off his ass and fights somewhere other than Oakland, he gets no respect from me. Something about that whole arrangement is not right.
