Yes for the second, I think it has something to do with him splitting from Arum. Immediately after the second fight I think Schaefer offered Pac a rematch and he declined for whatever reason. Not sure if this is all correct I might be mistaken.
I think he meant for the second fight which was negoated for in 2005 rematch, Nacho who was negotiating on JMM behalf turn down $750000 because Pac was making more in the fight.
JMM end up having to go to indonesia to defend his mandatory belt against Chris john for a reported 35,000 dollars.

This is true.
But it was the second fight they originally turned down.
Pac would have fought him but Nacho insisted on more money. Time passed and Marquez got stripped off one of his titles, he had to defend his remaining WBA title. He went to Indonesia to fight his mandatory Chris John at a make shift venue that was originally a parking lot, he also made a ridiculous purse of something like 30,000 . Chris John ended up getting the nod for the fight but there was bias during the fight and in the scorecards. Marquez was deducted two points during the fight which was ridiculous, and even with the deductions he should have gotten the victory over John.
I noticed that after this fight Marquez changed up his style to be more aggresive, especially in the few fights that followed. Before he was more of a wait patiently counter puncher, After he was an offensive high light machine.
No. He turned down the second fight in order to go grab Chris Johns title first, so he would have more chips in negotiating a rematch I assume. His plan backfired.
