If Margarito is the same size as Martinez then theres no problem fighting at 150, and nobody can argue, but you see its another catchtweight that people will question- theres a no win situation. Do they really think they have the leverage to make pac go another 4lbs in weight- I dont think so. But the point im getting here is that neither of the fighters should fight because of the gap within the two. Nobody will get a credit. Martinez will be weight drained if he losses and Martinez isnt getting any credit fighting an opponent who is 2-3 division below, with 20lbs advantage and 5-6 in height and reach if he wins.

Williams is 6'3" and Pavlik is 6'2", Martinez is 5'10", that's 4 and 5 inch differences, less than the difference it would be against either Mayweather or Pacquiao. Pacquiao is the one who's fighting all these "bigger guys" so obviously Martinez wants a piece of the pie. It doesn't matter if Pacquiao has never passed 145 pounds at the weigh in, he chose to fight for the 154 pound title at a catchweight. So why not fight for the 160 pound title at a catchweight?
