just saw an article on ESPN.com about Nate announcing his retirement.
only real bummer is that Campbell never got to do anything once he won the belts from Juan Diaz.
Was it a close fight?
and I didn't like how once Nate finally broke through with his big win over Juan Diaz, he continually mouthed off all the time. Boatloads of trash talk .. even toward Guzman for missing weight, which is understandable, but then Nate missed weight in his next fight (funny how that works)
the real irony in the whole situation, is Campbell finally gets the recognition he wants, by beating Juan Diaz and becomes the man at Lightweight .. but never gets a title defense in, because he missed weight vs Funeka.
And to think that This guy was once mentioned as one of the Black Fighters that Pac ducks??
I knew Nate's overrated as well as Juan Diaz!!
