I think Moreno matches up better against Montiel than he does Perez. Not saying that Yohnny is better than Montiel but just the styles of the fighters. Montiel has problems with southpaws, he got beat by Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson nothing to be a shame about, he had a very close fight with Z Gorrez who was another southpaw, got dropped by Alejandro Valdez who is not a good fight but it was a southpaw and Montiel was fortunate to leave with technical draw. Even against Hasegawa, he was losing until he caught Hasegawa with a good punch. Moreno would give him too many problems with the southpaws and won't get careless and leave himself open like Hasegawa did. Perez is different. Perez can give Moreno major problems. Moreno does have the power to keep Perez off of him, it would not get Perez respect. Perez is a skilled fighter, and can put solid pressure and throws at very high output. Has great stamina as well, great chin and solid power. I can see Perez out lasting Moreno, wearing him down and take a decision or I can see Moreno surviving some tough spots and edging out a very close decision. I think that fight would be a great fight. I've also noticed that Montiel doesn't look as spectacular against southpaws. I'm interested to see a Montiel-Moreno clash, or Moreno against top bantam actually. I like Perez a lot as well. Can't wait for the Vic/Mares and Perez/Agbeko rematch doubleheader.

What a waste. :nonono: It's not completely over for him yet, but Guzman missed out on so many prime years that he'll never get back. His management should be shot. Yep lol he is 34 years old right now, JMM doesn't even look at him, fights some Aussie bum instead lol

Yeah Calderon is getting up there, seems like a Segura rematch would be the logical step. I really enjoyed the first fight. I like Guzman's skills, but if he fought more than once a year, I would take him more seriously. Anselmo Moreno deserves a Mention... Reminds me a little bit of Whitaker. talking about Whitaker, alex De Jesus was named after Parnell Whitaker, because he fights so much like him. He is the only Puerto Rican since Daniel Santos to win a medal at the Olympics, he won Bronze and lost his 2nd fight by just one point. here is video of him

Guzman is starting to pick up, I finally heard him being matched with JMM LOL when he was active, all Guzman-JMM talk was non existint. Now we are matching him up with good quailty fighters. He still has it in him to make any fighter look bad, fighters lose and come back. Calderon is aging, and all it seems he wants a Segura rematch.
