... He's not feather-fisted in any shape or form. Some of you are talking so much crap about how he has nowhere near the same amount of power as Abe. That's BS.
This fight can literally go any way. Froch by brutal KO could happen if he works the body (which he gets to do anywhere outside Germany), Abe has serious firepower, he has accuracy but Froch has workrate.
Let's see how the king copes with the body shots tho-I've got a feeling his guard goes to **** when the cobra roughs him up a bit.
Literally can't wait to see this unfold.
andre dirrell had arthur's face swelling and red by the second through punching the gloves alone
arthur felt every shot against dirrell and will feel every shot against froch
i just hope that froch comes in with the proper fight plan and not to be on some boxing from mid-range, waiting for arthur to open up counter-punching style
Dirrell also threw straight, sharp shots that Froch doesn't. It will be much easier for Abraham to see Froch's punches coming and pick them off/ counter them than doing the same against Dirrell.
Froch has power, but it's not on Abraham's level. And with how loose Froch is on defense, going to the body will lead to him eating the best Abraham has to offer.
I'm sorry, Froch will be game but I just see him getting overmatched.
anyone that is so confident of the outcome, please stick up your betting slips so i can see what real cash you laid out and what odds you got as i dont have the same confidence some of you have.
ive always been a massive abraham fan, i love the raw power he carries with that strange range finder before the big swinging follow up come and knocks you out cold. he's game to the bone and loves a scrap.
froch i never liked to much. i always thought he looked sloppy and open to getting picked apart at world level but by hook or crook hes proved me wrong and i can admit that. he looks worse then he is, but one thing he has is determination and will power on equal with abraham...pretty good chin even though he goes down, he gets back up and carries on fighting hard
this should be a old fashioned proper fight, with blood sweat spit & tears and probably a knock out too. i cant split them and wish i could

I agree.
Everyones talking about AA's tough defense, but Froch will hurt him even when hes got his gloves up. AA is underestimating Frochs power and size, the height difference will work heavily in Frochs favor.
Froch will not drastically change his fightplan for AA, he just needs to not take rounds off like the Kessler, he needs to bank points incase he can't KO/TKO Arthur like hes saying.

AA has way more power than Froch. but froch's height and reach make him tough for AA. too bad Froch gasses and can't box as good as dirrell.
i think Abraham is in for a big shock when Froch lands his power punces, I think froch will pick his punches and move side to side
Abraham fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw, i don't think he will be in shock by anyones punches
on the contrary. Abe is not good against people that smother him and go to the body, as shown in the Raul Marquez fight(where he got a rib broken).
the trick is not too keep in mid-range with Abe. thats where his comfort punching zone is. either fight really close or fight way on the outside.
Abe is very flawed, but his power is the great equalizer. I could see Froch mugging his way to a decision, possibly stoppage win, but I could also easily see Abe getting lucky and landing a fight changing punch.
Froch is actually much craftier than people give him credit for. he might be able to figure Abe out.
my fight plan for Froch: shove Abe around on the inside and be active, keeping him in his shell. one Abe decides to do his 1 minute offensive attack, back off fast and let him burn off, shoving back to infight if Abe catches up with him. rinse and repeat.
Froch hasn't got the footwork to keep fighting on the outside for 12 rounds and he never fights close range

This is a guy knows what he's talking about too. AA isn't exactly the most multi-dimensional fighter... he's there to block punches and hit you back at mid-range. 100% guarantee this fight plan is what Froch adopts... but if he gets inside and manages to land cleanly (by breaking down the guard) Froch will get more confident as the fight goes on. This could be an advantage to either fighter.
Let's not forget Froch's power... he was nicknamed the cobra for a reason - he hits quick and hard. This could be the biggest puncher AA's faced (esp at this weight) and there's no telling how he'll react if Froch does land. Abe will probably respond the only way he knows how when confronted with power and that's his shell like defence. If that doesn't work for him because he's being rocked HARD and to the body what happens next? He's losing on the cards so he has to let his hands go a bit, which means goodbye defence. I'm damned sure neither fighter wants another loss, especially when they both think they were cheated.
Whatever happens I'm certain Froch is taking Abraham to a place he hasn't been before. The way I see it is like an animal fighting a sledgehammer that has a potentially weak handle.
Abraham has a pretty good defence against the body. If Froch can get past his tight shell he might have a chance.
He has to be careful though because Abraham likes to cover up and wait to land that fight ending bomb on his opponents.
Going to the body on Abe could lead to being knocked out himself..
Sure Abe protects his chest well but there's a reason Froch has brought up the high shorts issue this week-he's trying to put pressure on the referee to allow shots to the lower areas of the body, areas that Abe seems keen to protect. Seriously try covering your lower adominals in Abe's shell like defence-it drops your hands and leaves the head exposed. So far Abe's worn those shorts incredibly high most of his career-this tells me one of two things: he is weak to the lower areas or has trouble adjusting his defence.
By getting the referee on board Froch *could* expose what is potentially the most overrated defence in the sport. Before you reply please try the shell like defence for yourself and tell me how Abraham manages to cover his whole body like that.
Having said that Abe could remove Froch's head from his shoulders too.

I really respect Froch, he trades with people...his fights are entertaining, and love him or hate him fans will keep an eye on him because they really want him to win or loose. Id seriously want to watch Froch over any other fighter in the super 6.
Besides you cant really knock someone who entered this tourney and put his WBC belt (which he should still have imo) on the line.
