wow, this thread really exposes how NEW some of you are to boxing. Somebody said Pacquiao was pound for pound #1 in 2005? Wow. Just wow. Do a LITTLE research before you actually start typing, ok little guys?

My bad, I thought it was consecutive weeks at #1. Nah, Sugar Nikolay Valuev is the only fighter who could legitimately accomplish that...which is why Ring makes him ineligible for that sort of thing.

How does someone lose and remain #1 and how does someone not fight for 18 months and remain in the top ten. Pac lost to Morales in '05, how is it possible that he ramained #1 even though he didn't beat Morales until '06. Pac was always no1, its just cos floyd was there first they just thought they would keep him there until Pac and floyd fought each other. Hopkins was on the list from 1999-2010 i think.

Anybody know the time for Mayweather? It wouldn't surprise me if he was on from 1998 to 2008. I have to think Chavez, Whitaker and ODLH had long runs there too.
