Pacs win was better because for 12 rounds he showed superior ability. Sergio didnt show SUPERIOR ability. He landed a great punch. One punch versus Pacs 400, dont compare.
People say after the Sergio fight that it was a visually stunning knockout. For Pacs performance against Margarito, they were stunned by Pacs performance. I think Evander Holyfield said Pacs performance was sensational.
If the art of boxing is what rocks your boat than pacs performance will rock your boat. If you are a savage beast and like one punch knockouts, well......
Both were good fights but Martinez/Williams was more shocking......plus it was good to see Martinez even the score and leave no room for doubt this time.I like Pac,but was there really any doubt he would lose to Margarito?
What pac did was more impressive. To find a ko punch like Sergi did, when the other guy commited as well happens more often than not in boxing.
To do what pac did shows superior ability. Not even close. Pac is better.
PW is overrated anyway. He is the guy who is known for challenging than actually fighting. Most people would know PW for saying people wont fight him and challenging Pac at 147.
LOL @ tough call, it's not even close. The fact that Margarito has looked unimpressive his last two fights and post plaster, the issue of him being the bigger man isn't a huge advantage it is made out to be. Fact is, Pac is an elite boxer and Marg is a C+ Grade fighter at best. Haye-Valuev was David and Goliath. Martinez was defending his title, absolutely demolished the 'most avoided fighter' in vintage fashion, oh and he was also on the p4p list unlike Margarito who was no where near any rankings at all.
It's hard to land a one shot knockout against a guy who outweighs you by 17 pounds and is known to have an iron chin. I'd say what Pac did was pretty damn impressive.
Martinez beat the better guy... Martinez beat the guy that beat the guy that Pac fought. It was a rematch of a very good competitive fight of a year ago... It was way more impressive than what Pac did.
Not even close really. And, Woosha explained it well. This was the 2 top MWs and 2 of the top 10 P4P fighting. Neither Pac nor Margarito were top 10 at JMW. Hell neither are top 10 AT JMW right now and Pac has the title...
Pac was the favorite going into the Margarito fight. Martinez was 50/50 going into the P-Will fight. What Pac did was expected... Was really anybody surprise by that win or by the way he won? Honestly? Now was people surprise by the way that Martinez won?
Lets not kid ourselves here.
There is no question which win was the better win.
5th vs 6th in P4P rankings. Lineal Middleweight title on the line, KO in round 2!
Nuff said
Don't forget Martinez also avenged his close lost to Williams.
Great win by Pac, but that was expected. I'm sure a lot of people picked Martinez to beat Williams, but that early knockout wasn't what most people envisioned.
LOL @ "Tough call"

Martinez's win of course,he destroyed a fighter than everyone was afraid to fight and was also in the p4p list.Manny's win was against a fighter no one even cares about. Also wasn't manny's wbc light middleweight belt formerly Martinez's belt, but do to wbc rules you can only hold one of their titles in one weight class?
Tough call. Pac went in against a much bigger guy. It was essentially a David vs Goliath fight and he whooped Marg's ass pretty hard. On the other hand, Sergio Martinez did to Paul Williams what no other fighter has ever come close to doing to him.
I'll go with Martinez.
