I am sorry and anyone can shoot me if they want to but as a former PAC fan I am still skeptical on how he went from having trouble with Marquez to blowing the top guys away like it was nothing. I have to wonder how he went from being a good fighter to being an unbelievable sansation. Most of you will just act naive and not question this but you have to wonder if you have a little common sense! Before a good punch from Marquez would stop Pac in his tracks and now he takes a solid punch from Clottey, Cotto, Margarito and he just smiles like my 2year old daughter punched him. Now, explain how that happens overnight...please, someone explain it!
And for those of you who will be quick to call me a Flomo or whatever else don't even bother because I was one of those who actually watched Floyd in hopes that he would loose cause I just never got to liking the guy. So, please save me the nonsense about me defending Floyd because I am not a fan of his and never have been! I am just pointing out some basic facts.
And I know that boxers get better with time but this was not Pac getting better....this was Pac being a great boxer and all of a sudden BOOM...he is the next wonder of the world!
Now, when was the last time that something like this happened with any other fighter in the world? None of us can remember, right? That's because no one can recall it happening. I mean imagine if Mikes Tyson started out a pretty good fighter with pretty decent power and then all of a sudden he starts blowing out bigger guys out of the ring...you tell me you're not going to be a little suspicious about that? You have ask yourself...well, why didn't he do that before? And don't tell me it's the trainer or a new technique. A new trainer or new technique don't help you to take the kind of punches that Pac takes now that he obviously couldn't take before. So, what gives? I don't know but to me the math doesn't add up. I really want to and hope that it's all him, that's all natural but why wasn't it there from the beginning? That's the question I would like answered. In my humble opinion such Big change in such Short time begs the question.........HOW????
Usain Bolt, a few years ago wasn't running 9.9s but now he's running 9.59s.
Phelps was a good swimmer and then, boom ... gold medals everywhere.
The dinosaurs were walking around one day and kapow, they were dead.
Steve Waugh averaged 30-something for the first 30-odd games he played and then ... boom, ended with a career average of 50+
Dude, sometimes people just improve. Get over it.
You realise that Ronnie Coleman wasn't born 300lbs right? People can put on considerable weight over their lives, and can retain strength and speed. Anybody familiar with human physiology (even at a basic level) can see this.
At least someone admitting the fighters Pac beat were the best boxers in the world and not shop worn like flomos make out, so thats a good start.
Yep, Flomos should learn from the ts. Just have it one way or the other. Not both. Saying Pac fought useless fighters, then turn around and say he's too good and should be tested is just so damn stupid. Even your own kid would lose respect for your inability to judge simple things.
How ironic.
What you've said about Manny applies all the same to Floyd.
LIKE HELL IT DOES DUMBY---
FLOYD STARTED OFF ROLLING FAST---HIS FIRST FIGHT WAS THE START OF SOMETHING SPECIAL---HELL, HIS STYLE DIDN'T CHANGE FROM THE OLYMPICS, ASKS HIS TEAMATES, THEY'LL TELL YOU THE SAME---HE STARTED OFF GREAT AND STILL IS, AND HE HAD LOST POWER AND SPEED--BUT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A THINKING FIGHTER--WHICH IS WHY HE BEATS HIS OPPONENTS OVERALL---
I DON'T EVEN BELIEVE MANNY IS ON PED'S DUE TO HIS SUDDEN SUCCESSFUL FIGHTS---I BELIEVE HE'S ON PED'S DUE THE HIS SUDDEN HESITANCE TO HAVE FULL RANDOM DRUG TESTS AND HIS CARDIO COACH'S CLAIM THAT MANNY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE GIVES HIM----MANNY'S SUPERSTITION OF NEEDLES AND BLOOD DRAWN SO CLOSE TO THE FIGHT, WHEN HIS TRAINER WAS THE ONE WHO SAID 3 DAYS, THEN FIVE DAYS, THEN 30 DAYS, THEN 24 DAYS, THEN SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF 24 AND 14 DAYS, THEN 14 DAYS AFTER FLOYD TOOK THAT OFF OF THE TABLE---THEN 7 DAYS NOW WHEN THE FIGHT ISN'T EVEN BEING NEGOTIATED---EXPLAIN THAT ONE OBE 1---:loser:
AND ON TOP OF THIS INTERRUPTANCE IN TRAINING AND STUFF OF THAT NATURE---FOR THE FIGHT WITH CLOTTEY, MANNY HAD BLOOD DRAWN FOR HIV AND SPARRED EITHER THAT DAY OR THE DAY AFTER----AND WAS FINE---AND HIS PUNCH RATE WENT OVER 1000 PUNCHES ALL OF A SUDDEN---HE'S FULL OF IT AND IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL HE'S EXPOSED---
Before a good punch from Marquez would stop Pac in his tracks and now he takes a solid punch from Clottey, Cotto, Margarito and he just smiles like my 2year old daughter punched him.
Do you really think drugs give you punch resistance?
Naazim Richardson gave a sound explanation for this.
To use the JMM fight as an example, Pac heavily drained himself to make the lower weights. You can see during the weigh-in just how much his cheekbones were popping out.
His punch resistance was therefore lower. And his punching power, while strong due to him having natural power, was also reduced.
You can see Pac now is much more healthy at 140-144. He's much fuller. The extra weight gives him back his punch resistance and punching power. And he's obviously coming into fights in a better condition without having to drain himself.
Pac's grown into his prime 140-144 weight now. But that was actually his prime weight as far back as the JMM fight. He was just draining himself to still make FW and to an extent LW. Hence why he couldn't knock JMM out and JMM was able to stun him.
Like Richardson said, the greatest trick Roach and Pac have played is to make you think he was a small guy, especially back then. He wasn't.
What is most interesting is the fact that his work rate has gone up two fold. Fighting PAC is now like fighting the russian guy in Rocky IV.
This just doesn't make any sense to me. I could care less what people think.
He is on something. What it is I don't know.

i fully concur. The last time i saw Pac hurt was round 7/8 against Marquez(2nd fight), since then he just smiles punches away.

I can give you a solid answer. The two big differences i see are Alex Ariza and no more draining to make weight. I feel the sport of boxing or a lot of boxers lack the knowledge of great diet, nutrition and strength and conditioning training. The amount of money that the NFL and NBA spend on research and technology on training and diet is amazing. Don't get me wrong a lot of boxers train very well but some do not get the proper training and deit.
And him not having to drain weight is also a big plus for obvious reasons.
Sure i am going over the top but Morales beat him up and bloodied him.. the scores were fairly close i think.. Morales was 3 rounds up having given away the last round on purpose.. I personally had it wider
But one thing is for sure i never noticed a huge speed advantage like i did in pacs most recent fights. If he loses it will be from a fighter at 140 or a fighter with decent hand speed.. something Cotto/Clottey lacks
what u saw was pac throwing one hand, he would continuesly just attempt to hit guys with the left am i right? did u see him flurry from the body to the head like he does now?
one hand
Hasn't Sergio also improved as a fighter at the latter stages of his career? Why isn't everyone calling PEDs on sergio? Oh wait, that's right, floyd's only ever said a fighter never get's better as their career's go on and pointed his finger at pac. It's amazing how many people buy this mayweather brain washing BS and don't realize it.

it was a headbutt... but whatever. no shame in losing to a great fighter in morales. he wouldn't be at this level if it was not for that fight.
that is why i think pacquiao is succesful in the higher weights. because he is so much faster than anybody else. he was already pretty fast in the lighter weights. that compounded when he went up cause his opponents were slower.

At least someone admitting the fighters Pac beat were the best boxers in the world and not shop worn like flomos make out, so thats a good start.
But Pac was a world champion at 19 so that is telling you something that this kid had natural talent without even an amatuer career. Actually that is incredible when you come to think of it. Absolute incredible and shouldnt be ignored.
Why do people make out JMM is some kind of chump? Do people set the standard and bar so high for Pac that he cant have a hard fight with one of the best boxers in the world? I really dont understand this? Am i missing something, and if i am, someone enlighten me with their words of wisdom.
Pac never fought the best at 135, 140, 147 & 154
Diaz is the worst LW titlist in history.
Hatton was not better than Bradley.
An average fighter in Clottey, an overrated Cotto and shot, old Oscar were not the best at 147.
Margarito at 154 was an absolute farce and joke.
I'll add to this;
De La Hoya: Shot, past-prime fighter fighting at a weight he hadn't made in 7 years. Drained and totally a shadow of his former self vs Pacquiao. He wasn't physically capable of making any adjustments to even win a single round in their fight.
Ricky Hatton: Stupid decision to change trainers so late on in his career and then attempt to incorporate certain Mayweather nuances in his game. Never attempted to change his style, came in head first and got his ass dropped.
Miguel Cotto: Overrated fighter and was never really that good. Folds under pressure and lacks the ability to make any adjustments in his game - won a close decision to Clottey, and it wasn't because he made a late rally to snatch the win, it was just that Clottey is a choke artist who throws away fights.
Joshua Clottey: Average fighter who always finds a way to lose. Made no attempt to make an impact in the fight with Pacquiao and was just another hypejob fight with Cowboys Stadium playing the main protagonist in this HBO fraud special.
Antonio Margarito: Cheat. Fraud. Should never have been given the opportunity to fight again. Got his ass handed to him by Mosley in a much more brutal fashion then Pac ever did. His one + year lay-off and fight with Garcia proved he was past-prime. Besides a single fluke bodyshot, he showed nothing in the fight to suggest he deserved to be there.
Pacquiao is a fraud who continues to duck the best fighter of his era. HBO FRAUD.
agree with all
cept the pac is a fraud, hes still good .. just not as good as some think
Listen Maggots are Cotto, Hatton, Margs, Clottey in the same league skill/talent wise as Morales/Marquez? no they aren't
But also they are slow as **** especially Clottey and Margs by the time they throw 1 Pac has landed 4-5. If he was a man and fought Mosley (when he was coming of a win) or say Bradley/Khan/Berto.. guys with decent size but also speed you will quickly see him found out..
Did you see Pac have a huge speed advantage vs Morales/Marquez? no it's barely noticable especially vs Morales 1.. were he got beaten like a red headed step child. Stop fighting these slow ass plodding foward guys.. sure they are bigger.. but fighting a similar size guy like Bradley who has decent speed would be far better
did you actually watch the fight?
cause morales won a close but clear decision against a green pacquiao. it would have been fight of the year if it wasn't for corales-castillo.
it wasn't as one sided as you guys make it out to be.
