He just asks about how bad it was and then makes him watch and to top it off he goes classic..."Ummm I'm sure will see you again...umm sometime...Bob" lmao. Max had no time for him, yet during the 1st round the whole crew was conveniently not seeing Williams get clobbered with virtually the same punch form the opening bell.
I love HBO, there telecast is what top notch professional boxing is supposed to look like to me, but even myself as a die hard fan is really starting to think there looking sketchy. They were acting as if Williams was doing well and even gave him the first round despite how ineffective and sloppy his punches were opposed to the clean shots he was eating just to throw those absurd punches. Williams is or was a HBO fighter and he did afterall get a gift last time so HBO was gonna keep talking him up like they do Berto or Cotto's mediocre performances, then when the guy finally gets exposed they throw him under the bus.
I don't like Williams at all and knew he was a highlight reel waiting to happen and yet i still feel bad for the guy more so for how bad max treated him then getting what he deserved in the ring. HBO all but told him to **** off lmao. It wouldn't be an issue if they didn't shove the guy down our throat and basically root for him like they do with HBO fighters, if they were to just objectively broadcast and commentate what is actually happening with no agenda then the treatment of Williams would have been fine. Because they promote him so to speak in some ways it makes blowing him off at the worst professional moment of his life downright evil, He should have at least been able to say a little bit more after seeing himself brutally KO'd and having to admit he didn't see it coming and was out. Once again I don't even like Williams but he took the shot he deserved more than what he got.
HBO's coverage of boxing matches is terrible. HBO has like 6 different channels so it would be nice if they offered these fights and PPV fights on a separate channel that has no announcers. I would be so relieved to be out from under the three stooges babbling about other boxers and their fights from five years ago while technical things are happening in the ring. Instead, HBO needs a channel that has a half-dozen microphones above the ring so we can hear impacts and foot movement. I want to hear the grunts and thuds.
Damn glad i'm not the only one lmao...came back and was shocked that so many felt the same lol...I watched it sober today and still feel that Williams was treated like garbage, maybe dude was right and we need Larry to keep things in line lol. Bottom line he should have been able to say more and being that HBO called him a multi division threat he should have been asked if he will still fight at MW or move down etc.
LMAO i noticed this too! Williams looked like he wanted to say more. Even gave Max a look that said, "Wait, thats it?! I had more to say!" Even when the knocked down happen, the commentators barely made a peep. Like they were in shock or something. If Gus Johnson was calling the match, he would have jumped out the roof.
Thats what they want u to believe, their commentary sways your mind to believing they were close or that Cotto (who fought with a lot of heart that night) did enough to win... Or that Berto did enough to beat Collazzo... Its a joke!!!
I'm not saying they don't have biased commentary, you just picked the wrong fights to prove your point.
There was nothing clear about any of the fights you just mentioned, they were all close fights.

I like Hbo pushing fighters for answers, the old ask my promoter sht is not what we as fans want to hear.
i agree. i like when the fighters start calling people out and talking sh*t, but kellerman is out of control with the mayweather/ pacquaio sh*t. There are fighters out there actually willing to take challenges and fight who dont get the coverage. Max spent the first 5min of the telecast talking about pac's careful matchmaking, old news f*cker. He needs to start promoting.
They are still supposed to be unbiased which Lampley, Letterman and Kellerman have proven time and time again to not be... Its the reason why we need Larry Merchant because he balances these cheerleading jokers out...
I love listening to Gus Johnson when he's on showtime too... He may well be the best in the business...
These HBO analysts make you believe who they want you believe is winning the fight...
They made us believe Cotto beat Clottey, a fight Josh clearly won... They made us believe Williams beat Sergio the first time, a figt Serg clearly won... How bout Collazzo and Berto?
Its a joke already and these guys need to be exposed...

you need to look at it from hbo's point of view, if Williams won this, he would have been a superstart at 154 or potentially even 147, HBO would have produced a new superstart to fight against pac or may
martinez basically killed that dream

I think Kellermna did an okay job...He's supposed to show the ko...I think he saw that P WIll was shook up from watching it so he decided to cut it there and spare P Will from having to answer any questions....Max is great for boxing but he does come off as a clown sometimes....I think you guys are being too critical in this instance
I'd love to see Kellerman get sparked out. What an arséhole.
I cant wait for the day that happens. one day he is going to say the wrong thing and get ktfo
F*ck kellerman. This is the second week in a row when he is disrespectful to a fighter. Pacquiao was noticeably getting tired of the stupid mayweather talk and just simply said "thank you" and ended the interview. Then margarito pretty much got the same treatment as williams imo. hbo's commentating has been getting worse and more biased lately.
Kellerman is a gimp.
Last week he tried saying "Pacquiao didn't look great", if he believes that he's incompetent and shouldn't be getting paid thousands of $ to commentate on HBO. If he's trying to coax Floyd into thinking Pacquiao looked bad to try and make a fight, then he's even more deluded to think Floyd would need Max Kellerman's judgement on whether a boxer looks bad.
And then there's today, he's asking Williams "why couldn't you take the punch, you're suppose to have a good chin"?"....everyone can see it was sharp, crisp, power punch which connected sweetly as Williams was coming in. A good chin is a good chin, it doesn't mean you can't get KO'd by a great punch. What could he possibly want Williams to say?
Then he shows him the punch, it's just sickening, the guy doesn't need to see that, not so soon, he's barely seeing straight and they're showing him that. It was disgusting.
And then the outro was just a huge insult "We might see you again sometime".....no sympathy, no show of decency, they might as well have told him to "fúck off, loser"
I'd love to see Kellerman get sparked out. What an arséhole.
I think Max was interviewing Williams in shock so it made it seem bad. I don't think Max had recovered from what happened lol
That was really low. Williams deserved more then that.
Of course Paul deserved more but I think Max was just as shocked as a hardcore P Will fan.
HBO has great comentators but they usually promote 1 fighter and try to ride his nuts no matter how competative the fight might be.
Max is usually brutal with post fight interviews, specially when they get KO'd, it's like damn, the guy just got floored, why does he have to give you a play by play about it, considering he was out before he hit the ground.
Looks like Kellerman was taking a dig. The mannor in which he showed Paul the KO was kinda cruel I mean wtf.. he shows Paul the KO as a way to humilate him.
Thanks man, green k sent!! ;)
The whole interview was like a board of control holding a child accountable for not passing some exam or something. What did Max want or expect him to say?
To outro the interview showing him his own body being brutally dropped to the canvass and knocked unconcious was basically just showboating and parading it. Only thing I don't agree with is loving Max, don't know how ne1 could.
