Almost every fighter has their haters. Half of Boxing Scene hates Mayweather and the other half seems to hate Pacquiao. Same goes for other top fighters. But Sergio Martinez? I'm seeing pure love for this guy from everyone right now. There's zero BS and drama to the guy. He's a modest man with incredible skill. It's almost impossible to call him overrated. He deserves every single bit of praise he's receiving.

if you don't like martinez, you must kick puppies off bridges.
That's a scary ass picture. I'd hate to be one of Williams' family members having to see him on the canvas like that. He seriously looks dead, I hope he didn't receive any permanent damage.
Is it even possible to dislike Martinez now?
don't think so.
one of the goodfellows of boxing.
but i tell you. he wasn't even looking
where he was throwing that ko punch.
paul walked right into it.
Nah, Sergio walked him into it and knew where Paul's head was going to be. He hit him with a similar punch in the first round of the first fight and other times in the first fight too. He did catch him a couple times in the rematch too, but not as clean and not while Williams was throwing.

He knew what he was doing... its how he throws most his punches.
it was actually intended as a counter over pauls jab, as paul feinted sergio
steps aside, pivoted slightly and went to counter. Watch the vid.
Just so happens, the feint ended up making paul open.

I'm Argentine and I admire Sergio, when nobody knew what I was saying that the taxes to be champion. But now I come, I think it's a great fighter, but that is on Balor. I think by now boxing a fighter who favors the style, but I think in the medium category are guys who can win, not to mention Pacman and Floyd

It was like a home run in baseball. Martinez knew he knocked Williams' soul out of the arena as soon as he landed the punch.

Williams was eating the left hand since the first bell. Sergio didn't need to look.

lmfao @ the cool guys part
I thought it was cool that he walked away before Williams even hit the ground.
Not to bash the UFC but I don't like it when a guy clearly knocked out and is getting punched in the head while on the ground.
