I haven't been on for about a week (since the fight).
I want to say that I have been crappin on Margarito ever since Plastergate and I do believe he has used plaster in previous fights (maybe even all his fights). I mean if he says he didn't know Capetillo put plaster in his gloves, how can he say for sure he never had it in his gloves? Anyway, that said....
During the fight with Pacquiao I found myself cheering for Pac in the beginning and happy Tony was taking a beating, then midway through I started to feel bad for him and towards the end I felt like I was watching a Rocky movie. Tony just kept coming and coming and never gave up, he showed alot of heart and gained my respect. Tony is a warrior. What do you guys think?
One good thing I could say about Cheato is that he's the ultimate punching bag. Another is that he is relentless.....at cheating that is. The guy just won't quit wether is getting beaten to a pulp for 12 rounds or trying to find ways to cheat he just keeps coming and coming.
Props to Antonio "Cheato" Margarito boxing's p4p #1 punching bag and cheater.
It's like the devil landed on earth the night Margarito woooped Cotto and ripped these rican's a new arsehole, is that why they so butt-hurt??
Another "Rican" Reply from this guy?
You are obviously intimidated by Puerto Rican people.
No matter what the topic you attack the "Ricans"....I feel bad for you and your people (who ever they may be) Your ashamed of them and hide what you "represent".
Then again its probably better you don't tell, because your comments are so dimwitted and lack any boxing knowledge(you will simply embarrass your people):puppy_dog sad
Is that why he paid for those poor amateur kids to go to the PAL games when nobody even asked him to? He paid for their flights, hotel, food etc.. and he only fought once in the previous two years so it's not like he made loads of money recently.
Your experiences make you who you are, dude grew up in the slum. Someone murdered his brother.. he came up the hard way turning pro at 16 and fighting men just to eat. And then for two years EVERYBODY has been calling him a cheater when there is no evidence that he knew what his trainer did - NO EVIDENCE. Dude was made a scapegoat because he's mexican and can't even speak english to defend himself.
The media controls how you idiots think and feel, who's the real man?
No just facts and common sense. Grow up. He is a man and takes his punishment and critics like all others, he is not special because he fell on hard times. Nor does he get a pass when he is wrong.Maybe you should follow in his footsteps and take your beating like a man.:grumble:

He earned my respect.
Other fighters would have quit if they were in Margarito's shoes that night.:boxing:
I was suspect of since the Cotto fight, straight hating him since the Mosley fight but never once did I think he wasn't a tough Mo'Fo. No one could ever deny that Margs would leave it all in the ring if he had to. Not because he is Mexican, but because it's in his DNA...way back in his scrap with P-Will it was obvious that he's a determined Mo'Fo.
Does he have my respect now? As a tough SOB yes, as a boxer and a man? Nope. Even if he didn't no Capetillo slipped a dirty insert into his wraps (which is possible) the way Capetillo explained in his Ring interview it seems like at minimum he had to have known he was training/sparring with loaded wraps.
Look, I give the guy respect for trying to go 12 rounds without getting on his bike. Props. But you can make the argument that he is so dumb and/or 1 dimensional that it's the only way he knows how to fight.
I rather root for Angulo, Alvarez, and JMM over Margarito.
as i was watching the fight also i was enjoying it but after the later rounds i remember saying to myself they should stop the fight hes getting a beating but he continued and kept his word on saying he wouldnt quit he has my respect for that he fought on till the end .
i also hated his guts before this fight but by the end was feeling really bad for him and yelling and cursing at the doctors/ref/trainers to stop the fight and let him live to fight another day.
i guess no matter what i have compassion, i just dont know how much Margs has for anybody else
Im with you on that.
I dont think he cares too much about anyone.

Definitely, I was glad to watch him fight with heart, courage, and determination in the midst of everything that had happened from Jan 2009. Nuff respect goes to him.
Can't respect someone who doesnt respect himself
I understand how some wont let up on Tony. His dumb act does get one tired. But it did not take away from the fight itself.
I was reminded of of Rocky IV when he told his wife that maybe all he could do was take everything he had. I will always respect and admire the heart with which Tony fights.

I thought that the fight showed that he'd be a tough fight for any fighter that doesn't have the movement or power to keep him from overwhelming you even without the hand wraps.
