Yeah, i was talking about the whole bragging thing. People talk like its only the idiotic Floyd fans who talk about it but clearly the Pacqiauo ones are just as bad. The only time i really concentrate on the numbers is when boxing is competing with UFC lol. it's retaliation. floyd fans say pac is a bigger draw so pac fans want to say it too. pac fans say floyd only fights for money so flomos rub it in when pac goes after money fights. and so on. every fighter has idiot fans. the best fighters have the most and biggest idiots.

Why is there a rumour that only Floyd fans care about numbers? The Pacqiauo fans who care about the numbers care just as much as the Floyd fans that care about the numbers, clearly. It becomes important coz it will be part of the negotiation process. The cut is a stumbling block. Pac getting 1.4 will definitely keep it an even split and Floyd can't use it as an excuse. That's why it becomes important. But in general it's the flomos who just want to call the fighter the p4p king. Pactards don't really care. Just that it's ammunition for pactard when they go on debates with flomos. And it's important coz it makes it closer to reality that Floyd will show up coz his back is already against the wall. I just want to point out that always ppv buys get blown over the top.. Mosley/Mayweather was reported far higher buys then it actually did.. I expect Margs/Pac to make around 1.1-2 or so you are accusing hbo executives of a felony? does the fbi know about this? what are the real numbers?

Figures show the Pacquiao fight stands to be the most-watched ever in boxing history: as many as 1.5 million PPV hits. “Numbers say we’re going to hit 1.4 to 1.5 million,” Pacquiao’s Canadian adviser Mike Koncz told Manila-based sportswriters Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila). “From all indications and the early tracking, we can even get 1.5 million.” If the bruising 12-round fight indeed hit 1.5 million PPV, it will eclipse the 1.4 million PPV buys posted by Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Shane Mosley in May and confirm Pacquiao’s status as PPV’s most bankable star. With each buy costing $54.95, Pacquiao-Margarito PPV hits of 1.5-million translate to $82 million. From total PPV sales, Pacquiao stands to get about 12.5 percent of the projected $82-million amount, or $10 million. This is on top of his guaranteed purse of $15 million for the fight that earned him an unprecedented eight world title in as many weight classes. According to Mike Taffet, HBO senior vice president for sports, Pacquiao’s last four fights in the United States averaged one million PPV hits, with his bout against Oscar De La Hoya in 2008 netting 1.25 million PPV sales and his showdown with Miguel Cotto posting 1.2 million hits. Pacquiao’s second-round knockout of Briton Ricky Hatton chalked up 900,000 buys while Pacquiao’s 12-round domination of Ghanian Joshua Clottey posted 750,000 hits. Although a big crowd of 41,734 fans trooped to the $1.2-billion Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, it did not surpass the 50,994-attendance recorded when Pacquiao fought Clottey in the same venue in March. Koncz, however, explained that gate sales were the least source of revenue in a fight promotion, with the PPV buys still the main source of revenue. Pacquiao, he confirmed, could bankroll $10 million from his PPV shares. Pac = the new Cash Cow and PPV King!

I doubt 1.2 million women would buy PPV to watch Oscar De La Hoya fight at their own discretion. Pacquiao's obsessed Filipino fans don't even do that. They gather most of their relatives into one house and watch it than. And as far as ALL TIME... De La Hoya is the PPV king son... :afro: Ok son lol, as of now Delahoya has the thrown. But if your heard me right, I'm talking about the current ppv king. It's Pac son =)
