While the PPV sales were phenomenal, the gate attendance at the venue that was reconfigured to accommodate 70,000 did not live up to its lofty billing after only 41,734 trooped there. It all comes down to pacs star power now. just to add: when you compare fighters ppv, stocks go up and down in business same as in boxing. You have to look at there last fights to know who is hotter and making the cash flow. floyd's last fight was with Mosely and pac's was with Margarito are their current fights. You look at there last fight to see there current or present market value. If pac goes over 1.4 million. Then it's common sense that pac is the king of ppv for the current active fighters. That is still more than Pac will earn against Margarito, even if he ends up making $25 million as Arum claims (and, based on his history, is likely a lie). Cotto is a bigger draw than JMM. Cotto in his prime was the 3rd biggest draw in the sport. Cotto in his prime was doing 250k with mosley... That was a big name with coming off a very good win against a top 10 WW in Collazo who arguably beat Hatton in the fight prior.
