When Manny beat Oscar a couple years ago, this question would be laughed at. Not so funny anymore IMO. Seeing how easily Manny has dominated the best fighters today between 135 - 150lbs, I now wonder how well he would have done against the Tito and Oscar that fought each other. Or against the Shane and Oscar who fought each other the first time. What you all think?
Manny would beat Tito and Mosley at 147. Manny would get beaten by Oscar at 147.
Tito isn't slick enough. It has been proven time and time again that ANYBODY with good footwork can outsmart Felix. Prime Shane would likely KO Manny at LIGHTWEIGHT, but Mosley hasn't been prime since he moved up. Don't get me wrong, he's put on some brilliant performances at higher weights, but wasn't his KO % like 80 at lightweight?
Prime Oscar at 147 is a different story. I think a jabbing oscar and a body punching Oscar would be too much for Manny at 147. We saw what effect Margarito's body shots had on Manny, I think Oscar would likely KO him.
IMHO the Shane that fought Oscar would likely KO Pac or at least hurt him a few times on his way to victory,I would not say not prime but your right he was his strongest at 135lb...

ktfo by all of them.
his best chance is against oscar who had problems with southpaws and wasn't as physical as shane and tito.
Manny is ranked higher than all these guys for a reason
Mosley always has a punchers chance
De la Hoya would have trouble with they style and I think gets ud
And Tito idk that I would of love to see but I think prime Tito was at 154 I might be wrong but I think he might get ud too by PAC
In Myths, as far as the wild and speculative imaginations of some Pacman heaters, a lot of boxers have KO'd Pacman!
That's the only way they can trash Pacman...
But in reality, when Pacman uses his fist do the talking, where speed and power are combined, then the real difference between myth and reality appears - Pacman prevails!
pac beats dlh. dlh has probblems with southpaws and guys with speed.
pac/mosley = fight of the century. both guys will come forward and bang with speed. anyone can win this fight cause mosley got the power to hurt pac and pac has the power to hurt mosley. great great great fights.
pac/tito = if pac fights smart he can outbox tito, but if he goes to war with tito, pac gets KOed.
What he said

Fine, everybody beats Tito.

oscar has no chance of knocking out Manny in 147. the weight difference wouldnt be too much so the body shot wouldnt be as effective. Mannys footwork would trouble OScar. Oscar's power wouldnt put Manny down in the canvass. Manny will win by a close U.D. because of his power, speed and footwork.

1.Hoya had one of the best jabs in the sport,he also had very good footwork..I agree he does get tired but Hoya had a great chin and would have lasted with Pac in his prime and beat Pac imo to many weapons..
Anything is possible but I feel his stamina issues and the southpaw style would always have caused him problems.
2.Tito was hurt in about damn near every fight the man has ever had..It's always been what he does after he is hurt that's been his legacy..Tito I feel you are underrating him and his boxing ability..
He had good boxing ability but he always needed to be set to punch, that would have been his downfall imo.. Pac's style and constant movement would have frozen him.
3.Cotto Marga's Berto and Clottey all would not be even known back in the WW era of the 90's(well maybe Cotto)none of them do anything great they are decent fighters..Mosley Hoya,Tito were on manny's level in talent and stardom Manny is a great so I would give him a chance with these dogz in their prime but I really do believe Cotto Berto and Marga's all get their asses handed to umm..
I never mentioned Berto. That would be like putting in Oba Carr or James Page in the discussion with DLH/Tito/Mosley/Quartey.
Clottey is a tough fighter who would always put up a decent fight but he's a natural born loser, he would always find the way to lose.
You're also forgetting Mayweather who like it or not is a great fighter who I feel always beats Shane, gives prime DLH a great fight either way. I don't see him being blown away from any of those welterweights, he would at least be even against any of those guys.
Cotto is a very competent fighter I don't see him getting blown out by any of those fighters.
Margarito would give all those guys hell, I think he gives Manny more trouble if he was the version that fought Cotto but he would have still lost. I really think the Cotto fight ruined him, he took a real bad beating and isn't the same fighter.
This is all fantasy anyways but I just don't agree with everyone saying Pac couldn't hold those guys jock straps.
Oscar had a great jab and left hook and he would trouble Manny for the first half of the fight. I would guess Pacquiao would take a decision against a prime de la Hoya.
Trinidad - it would be a war. Tito had crazy power and he was a big, BIG, welter weight. I think he knocks Manny out.
Mosley - this would be a war. Fight of the decade type of fight. Both can move (though Manny is like a damned jumping bean on speed) and Shane has been known to gas late. I would go out on a limb and say Manny narrowly beats him though I am hesitant in saying this.
3 years ago Manny would lose by a MURDER against Dela Hoya, Cotto, CLottey and Margarito. but in reality Manny beat and DESTROY those guys. They had the beating of their lives. of course Manny would lose to Tito and Dela Hoya in their prime. its a fantasy fight. but in reality Manny would do the same to them.
Did you see how damaged he was after the Cotto fight? And Cotto barely landed anything other than some jabs. Tito had mean, heavy hands man, plus he was a taller fighter.
It's nothing against Pac, those guys were just near, at, or above his level at WW. Not p4p, WW. Tossup fights.
also pacquaio is in his prime now and has been for the last few years right? exactly who has he beaten that a prime trinidad, de la hoya, mosley wouldnt beat? clottey? cotto - post margarito? margarito - post shane mosley? why doesnt he fight guys who are on top why do they all have to have suffered a recent savage beating? hatton from mayweather, cotto from margarito, margarito from shane mosley, de la hoya believe it or not lost something when he fought mayweather because in his very next fight steve forbes hurt him a bit and busted his face up almost as bad as pacquaio did
Spot on with both ya post...
DLH got tagged a lot by the limited Mago Gonzales and faded late in that fight, his fight against John John Molina he also got tagged a lot. Lets not forget a lot of people felt the old Whittaker who barely beat Hurtado from a come from behind stoppage and got 2 gifts imo against Rivera deserved the decision. Lets not forget Darrell Coley had DLH stunned in a round I forget which.
Trinidad looked plenty vulnerable at 147, he got dropped by plenty fighters like Carr/Campas/Cortes/Stephens. He beat Blocker/Campas/Camacho then didn't fight anyone of note for about 4 years until beating Whittaker. He then got the gift against Oscar while looking like a mummy because of Oscar's fast feet.
The welterweights from the late 90's were great but they weren't unbeatable, I don't see them being 2 levels above Cotto/Floyd/Pac/Marg(pre-shane).
BTW If u don't think Pac could hurt Trinidad look what the southpaw Cortes did to him in round two.
