Spoke to Bob Arum. No PPV total yet for Pacquiao, but based on what he already has (Dish Net) he said worst it'll do is 1.25 million buys.

1.4mil or over? are you fvcking kidding me.
Mayweather-Marquez only did 1.0mil. and according to Mayweather, he was the biggest draw at the time.
the more I read flomo posts, the more I believe they do not want to see PAC-Floyd to happen ...
Well considering its was the most media covered media hyped fight in history with 60 minutes 24/7 Times , the real big guns ,, and then you have staring the God movie star congressmen fighter of the decade against this fearsome man Goliath , ,,, considering that , it has got to at least equal Floyd vs JMM , if not what does Manny have to do to pull great numbers ,,, I know fight Floyd :)
pac already pulling great numbers, 750k with totally unknown clottey are great numbers not to mention 51k seats...
pac-margarito should be around pbf-marquez numbers ...
Hopefully the Manny vs Marg fight sells really well, above 1.5 million and takes this issue off the table, but if it doesn't sell close to 1.4 or over, Mayweather has every right not to accept 50%.

SH!T man ! PPV or no PPV sellout, the fight should be 50/50 with no cutoffs for testing. That 55-60 that you are proposing is another reason why this fight will never happen. Too many excuses. First off, any PPV is not a good barometer to measure the drawcard of any fighter. 2nd, both of them are going to be in the ring when the fight happens. 3rd, ALL of us here would watch that fight not just for Floyd but also for Manny and vice versa. So, what's the big deal about giving a leverage on who will get the bigger pie.
I say it MUST be 50/50 sharing and no cutoff dates for testing. FULL STOP !
Floyd has every right to ask for more money when he has been the cash cow of boxing since DLH retired, has sold more PPV's with less events, has sold more PPV's against common opponents, and his fights have made more money with less PPV's events. His live gates also make more money with less people.
:wtf1:

Really dickhead. It's the ONLY one that matters. 20 million Filipinos watching for free donesn't put any cheddar on anyones table. Money splits in the USA work this way and alwasy have. The guy who sells more PPV asks for more money!!!!!
Seriously how ****ing dumb are you??
So what BAROMETER do you use when measuring drawing power?? Maybe you should tell the execsat HBO they are doing it wrong. lordy you ae fukking STOOPID.
What ppl arent mentioning about the Clottey fight was there was no 24/7 and Clottey is a nice guy who doesnt really try to sell fights. That PPV did 700,000 buys with 50,000 showing up at cowboy stadium. Pac - Margarito did have a 24-7 and according to Dan Raphael he says the lowest it will be is 1.25M. Margarito without a doubt is a bigger draw than Clottey. Alot of people would like to see Pac and Marg fight again because there both warriors who put on a epic fight.
If this fight does over 1.4M than Pacquiao can argue for 55-45. If its over 1.4 than this was two non-americans one of whom doesnt speak a lick of english doing more than 2 americans who have been in the Boxing game longer and speak perfect english. 50-50 is fair and if Pac agrees to OSDT than Mayweather cant shoot up Xylocaine into his fists. If Mayweather doesnt agree to no xylocaine than f*** him hes a hypocrite. Pacquiao can and should fight someone else.
lol the fight would never happen.
lolz i dont believe those initial reports probably have to wait for the 3rd or 4th reports then we get the numbers he he ...

PPV vs common opponents is mute at this point. Pac is a bigger name than when he last fought Marquez, Dela Hoya, or even Hatton. Recent PPV numbers should be the deciding factor for the purse split.

arum said 70k attendance and it was 41. so with the projection of 1.25. that means 800k or less haha.
pactards stay losing
says the retard.
Why do you even post that??? when the attendance has nothing to do with ppv buys.
Answer me this though. Could Floyd sell those PPV if he will be fighting in the ring alone? See my point? The same argument should be used for a Pacman-Floyd match. ALL of us would buy that PPV not just to see Floyd but also to see Pac and vice versa. Why the need to determine who get's the bigger pie?
I'm starting to doubt you really don't want this fight to happen because of... excuses, excuses, excuses.
50/50 share & no cutoff dates for testing ! Let's get it on !
I agree with this " 50/50 share & no cutoff dates for testing ! Let's get it on !"
Regarding PPV and draw , I guess the best barometer is the numbers from comon opponents , JMM Hatton Oscar , what were the numbers in them ?
I don't believe anything Arum or TR says.
I'll wait for HBO to release the numbers. I know the fight did less than Floyd vs. Mosley and made less money.
if he draws 1.4 and over he has a case for 50%.
From Floyd's perspective he can make just as much taking 75% from someone else if he sells over 1 million PPV's. He pays nothing to his promoter. 5% to Haymon, fees to GBP, 1% to Roger and prob 1% to the rest of the team. That's how floyd thinks. He is sitting back thinking why should i risk fighting a guy i genuinely believe is cheating when i can make the same amount fighting someone else, and i don't need to deal with TR.
You just eloquently describe how to become a cherry picker !

based on what though?
- He has far superior numbers with 3 common opponents (this is actually the best way to tell who is selling more)
- He would have more with a lesser drawcard.
I would actually view Manny wanting 50% as pricing himself out. It's just not realistic. He is the number 2 draw in boxing for American PPV (the only thing that matters). He clearly has more fans WW, but that has nothing to do with how they will split the US PPV mkt.

The fight has to do 1.4 milli or more. We all know Margarito is a bigger drawcard than Shane, and i can prove this and happily argue the point. If this fight does 1.2 and below Floyd has a valid argument to ask for more money, i.e 55-60.
this is just fact. I don't care about it, but Pac and Arum shouldn't be unreasonable and recognise if this doesn't do over 1.4 they are 4 - zip against Floyd, with 3 of those being against common opponents and one being against a bigger draw.

It starts and ends with unlimited testing with no cutoff date. If Pac accepts that, I don't care if the Pac-Marg PPV only does 1.0M, Floyd better accept the fight or he loses everyone.
Buboy, his trainer told me Pacman already agreed to no cutoff dates for testing as long as 50/50 share. The only problem here is that Arum is the one doing the negotiation. Ever wonder why everytime Pac is asked about who will he fight next, he always mentions "it's up to my promoter to do the negotiation"? Arum is the true obstacle here and for that, this mega fight will never happen. Too much animosity between Arum and Floyd that he would not want Floyd to earn even a single penny from any deal with him. He would always rather want to match Pacman with Mosley, JMM or even Cotto than with Floyd, even if the whole world wants that fight. It's not about the money here for Arum. It's more about pride.
Its suppose to be just 900k until Margo and Rios started acting childish :D
Ariza and Roach also did a good job in acting the "whining-while-training" drama :D
LOL, yeh I read about that.
Just after the Pac-Marg fight at the hotel room, Pacquiao came out of his room so proud he had just broken his record at Plants vs Zombies.
He played it yesterday all day long before and after they went to the hospital for further checking.
